The program makes sure all tennis campers have a challenging and rewarding time at camp while learning and improving their core skills. Having worked with players at elite standard and played a large role in developing National Champions, College scholarship players as well as beginners who are new to the game, our Head Pro understands all the demands on players regardless of their level or experience.
Having started playing tennis at 7, tennis has been a major influence on Chris’s life. A talented junior in the UK, playing Nationally and Internationally. This followed a spell at the Nick Bolletieri academy, eventually competing at College. Playing College tennis then lead to a passion for coaching and passing on all the knowledge and experience acquired during his own development.
A keen sportsman you will always find Chris on the basketball court or tennis field looking for a game once the tennis training has finished. Chris is always available during camp for players to ask questions about the program or their development.
2014 Camp Information
(Camp Code: TNXRTM)
This year we are offering two weeks of day camp (9:00am-5:00pm) for players ages 8-18 of all skill levels.
The tennis program consists of five to six hours of daily instruction which includes technical work in the form of drills, strategy sessions, on-and-off court conditioning, supervised point and match play, mental toughness and game analysis. In addition to supervised free play, campers will receive special help sessions at night on forehand, backhand, serve and volley. The techniques and methods build confidence, while the group dynamics enable the students to get more done and have more fun.
Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Beginners will be playing tennis in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.
