Nike Baseball Camps
Sign up for the Nike Baseball Camp at University of Denver and enjoy a week full of elite-level coaching while making lifelong memories. This camp offers a unique opportunity to train under Next Athletes’ staff of coaches while receiving exposure to the collegiate environment. The coaching curriculum focuses on position-specific training, hitting and defensive skill work, game situations, and more.
Overnight Camp
The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Campers will be transported off campus each day for athletic training. The camp utilizes JFK High school and Denver Christian School as its training facilities.
Summer Day Camp
The Nike Baseball Camp at the University of Denver also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
The Nike Baseball Camp at University of Denver is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The Nike Baseball Camp at University of Denver is not owned, sponsored, co-sponsored or controlled by the University.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Assistant Baseball Coach, Adams State University Chaz Lopez
Chaz Lopez is the assistant baseball coach at Adams State University and serves as a lead coach for Nike Baseball Camps and Next Athletes.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2025 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: June 22-26, 2025
- Age Group: 8-17 (Day Camp) | 10-17 (Overnight)
- Gender: Boys
- Camp Type: Day & Overnight
- Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
- Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
CAMP TIMES
- Overnight Campers Check-in: 11:30am-12:00pm at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
- Day Campers Check-in: 12:00-12:30pm for day campers at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
- Day Camp Schedule: Sunday, 12:00-4:00pm; Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am-4:00pm; Thursday, 8:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony.
- Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
- All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Last Day Check-out: Following the closing ceremony on Thursday at 12:30pm at the Campus Green.
- Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at the Campus Green. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
Please Note: Following camp check-in, all overnight campers will have an opportunity to move into their room in the residence hall briefly but please come dressed in your athletic apparel for camp.
HOUSING
- Dorm: Dimond Family Residential Village
- Campers Per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel
- Bathrooms: Shared bathrooms

- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $337.25 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
Both campers and parents are invited to join us for evening educational seminars during the week. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a college athlete, and the different paths kids can take in sports. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
SUPERVISION
The staff reside in the dormitories with the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
