Nike Contact Football Camps
Register for our Nike Football Camp at University of Denver and receive elite-level training while making lifelong memories. Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at University of Denver, provides the perfect environment to be coached by some of the best coaches in the country. The staff will ensure a positive and encouraging atmosphere each day as campers have a great time competing with one another. Each day, players will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team plays, and game situations.
CONTACT CAMP (OVERNIGHT & DAY PROGRAMS AVAILABLE)
The contact camp is a shoulder pads and helmets only program which provides top-notch coaching for players of all positions. The camp focuses on offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team plays, footwork, and game situations. The contact camp offers an overnight program where campers will also take part in fun (non-football) evening activities and educational seminars on college recruiting, sports psychology, and more. Local players may also sign up for our day camp program which runs 9:00am-4:00pm. The day camp includes training only and campers must bring a lunch. The camp has a wrap-up only policy to protect players from injury and is open players of all ability levels, ages 13-17.
FLAG CAMP (DAY PROGRAM ONLY – 9:00AM-4:00PM)
Our flag football program is an amazing opportunity for younger players to receive high-quality training in a low-contact environment. Open to skill position players ages 7-13, this program provides elite-level coaching in a fun environment! The flag camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm daily (times vary on first and last day) and all campers must bring a lunch.
MULTI-SPORT EXPERIENCE
On top of football, there will also be several other Nike Sports Camps on campus during the week, including Softball, Baseball, Soccer, Track, Tennis, Swim, Golf, and Cross Country. Outside of training hours, this camp operates as one big Nike Sports Camp experience where players compete in fun games, eat meals, and participate in educational seminars with kids from other sports.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

On-Field Director Will Hawes
Will Hawes is the former head coach for Judge Memorial Catholic High School and serves as the football director for Next Athletes. Coach Hawes has been a football coach for nearly 25 years and now serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for Judge Memorial. Coach Hawes played collegiate football at Weber State University and has a wealth of athlete and coaching knowledge to share with each young athlete.

Gabe Brown is an assistant football coach at Carroll College and works with the defensive line. Coach Brown has many years of experience coaching youth football and is excited to share his expertise with campers.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Camp Details
Nike Football Camps feature non-contact flag football and contact drills and scrimmages with a high-quality staff of coaches and players. At camps, "contact" is introduced in a slow, gradual progression before any actual "contact" is initiated. Campers are divided according to age, weight, and ability.

2025 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION (CONTACT & FLAG)
- Dates: June 22-26, 2025
- Contact Camp Age Group: 13-17
- Flag Camp Age Group: 7-13
- Camp Type: Day Camp | Overnight (Contact Camp Only)
- Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP TIMES
The Nike Flag Football Camp at the University of Denver offers a day camp program that includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp. The camp utilizes Peter Barton Stadium at DU (Day 1 of Camp) and Infinity Park Turf Field in Glendale (Days 2-5 of Camp) as its training facilities.
- Day Camp Schedule: Sunday, 12:00-4:00pm; Monday-Wednesday, 9:00am-4:00pm; Thursday, 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony.
- Day Camper Drop-Off/Pick-Up (Sunday): 12:00-12:30pm at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium | 4:00pm at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
- Day Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Thurs): 8:45-9:00am at the Infinity Park Turf Field.
- Day Camper Pick-Up (Mon-Wed): 4:00pm at the Infinity Park Turf Field.
- Day Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony (Thurs): 12:30pm after the closing ceremony at the Infinity Park Turf Field.
- Parking (Sunday): Parents can use Parking lot L at University of Denver for drop-off and pick-up on Sunday. Pay to park, attendant will charge parents at the gate.
- Parking (Mon-Thurs): Parents can use Parking Lot P3 at Infinity Park for drop-offs and pick-ups.
CONTACT FOOTBALL DAY CAMP TIMES
The Nike Football Camp at the University of Denver also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
- Camper Schedule: Sunday, 12:00-4:30pm; Monday-Wednesday, 9:00am-4:30pm; Thursday, 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony
- Camper Drop-Off (Sunday): 12:00-12:30am at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium
- Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Thurs): 8:45-9:00am at the Dimond Family Residential Village.
- Camper Pick-Up (Sun-Wed): 4:30pm at the Dimond Family Residential Village.
- Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony Location (Thurs): 12:30pm at the Campus Green.

CONTACT FOOTBALL OVERNIGHT CAMP TIMES
- Overnight Camper Check-in: 11:30am-12:00pm at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium
- Overnight Camper Check-out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at the Campus Green.
- Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at the Campus Green. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.

- Dorm: Dimond Family Residential Village.
- Campers Per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Linens: Please bring linens with you to camp
- Bathrooms: Shared
- Air Conditioning: Yes
- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $337.25 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
