at Nike Softball Camps

Register for the Nike Softball Camp at University of Denver and enjoy elite-level coaching in a fun, competitive environment. The camp offers a unique opportunity to train under Next Athletes’ staff of college coaches while making lifelong memories. The program focuses on position-specific training, hitting and defensive skill work, live game situations, and more.

Overnight Camp

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Campers will be transported off campus each day for athletic training. The camp utilizes JFK High School and Bible Park as its training facilities.

Day Camp

The Nike Softball Camp at the University of Denver also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.

The Nike Softball Camp at University of Denver is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The Nike Softball Camp at University of Denver is not owned, sponsored, co-sponsored or controlled by the University. Campers will be transported by bus to the Bible Park Softball Fields each day for training.

    Annie Lockwood is the head coach for Bellevue College Softball and played for the 2011 NCAA National Championship Team at Arizona State University, where she was voted to the WCWS All-Tournament Team.

    Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Camp Details

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION

  • Age Group: 8-17 (Day Camp) | 10-17 (Overnight)
  • Gender: Girls
  • Camp Type: Day Camp & Overnight
  • First Day Check-In: Please use the linked campus map if you have any questions.
  • Overnight Campers: 11:30am-12:00pm at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
  • Day Campers: 12:00-12:30pm for day campers at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
  • Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
  • Last Day Check-Out: Following the closing ceremony on Thursday at 12:30pm at the DU Soccer Stadium.
  • Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Note: Following camp check-in, all overnight campers will have an opportunity to move into their room in the residence hall briefly but please come dressed in your athletic apparel for camp.

Please note: Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation on the first day and closing ceremony on the final day!

SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP

SUMMER DAY CAMP (8:00AM – 4:00PM)

The Nike Softball Camp at the University of Denver also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night, the location is to be determined for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and important sports psychology topics. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

HOUSING

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change.

  • Dorm: Dimond Family Residential Village
  • Number of Campers Per Room: 2 per room
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Bathrooms: Shared
  • Linens: Included, although campers are permitted to bring their own if they wish. Linens include washcloth, towel, fitted sheet, top sheet, blanket, and pillow/case.
  • Air Conditioning: Yes

OVERNIGHT INFORMATION

    • After overnight campers check in, parents and campers will receive their room and access cards and store their luggage in their assigned room.
    • Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Check out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at the DU Soccer Stadium.
  • Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-4: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 5: Breakfast
  • Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $337.25 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
  • Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at DU Soccer Stadium. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following.

SUMMER DAY CAMP HOURS & MEALS

  • Sunday: 12:00-4:00pm. Meals are not provided.
  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00am-4:00pm. Meals are not provided. Day campers must pack a lunch.
  • Thursday: 8:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony. Meals are not provided.
  • The closing ceremony will take place at the DU Soccer Stadium. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
  • Meals: Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
