Jeff Natalizio

Swim Director

Jeff Natalizio - Swim Director

Jeff Natalizio is the assistant swimming & diving coach at Whittier College. Coach Natalizio swam collegiately at University of California, Berkeley where he earned All-American status in addition to multiple Top-10 program rankings.

Coaching veteran Jeff Natalizio is set to join Head Coach Michael Jafari's staff on the Whittier College men's and women's swimming & diving teams with the title of Assistant Coach.

Natalizio crossed paths with Jafari an athlete at the University of California, Berkeley. He since moved on to coach the Southern California club team "Evolution Racing Club" to historic finishes over the last nine years. Most recently, the teams he has led have finished in the Top 10 for the men in the last two Winter Junior Nationals (2022-2023) and Summer Junior Nationals (2023). These teams placed two members: Harvard University's David Schmitt and Cal's Humberto Najera on the National Junior Team roster in 2022 and 2023.

Natalizio comes to Whittier fresh off a stint coaching these two swimmers at U.S. Olympic Trials, where Schmitt qualified for a semi final in the 200 butterfly and ended up placing 12th.

Natalizio brings with him a legitimate strength and conditioning background, having held a CSCS certification (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) since 2013. Prior to his club accolades, he served as Strength Coach to another Cal teammate, Anthony Ervin, helping him on his journey to achieve a gold-medal finish in the 50 Free at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
