Nike Field Hockey Camps ends summer 2019 on a high note

Nike Field Hockey Camps 2019 Recap

Nike Field Hockey Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, finished out their summer 2019 with the most campers ever in attendance. Thanks to new locations and camp programs, Nike Field Hockey Camps saw over 2,200 players attend their camps.

Field hockey is still a growing sport in the United States with the majority of the clubs and college teams located on the East Coast and Nike Field Hockey Camps found it important to continue to expand in those regions. Of the five new camp locations they added to the Summer 2019 camp list, four were located on the East Coast in Rhode Island, Virginia, and New Jersey.

One of the most popular new camp additions was Xplosive Field Hockey Camp in Glassboro, New Jersey. With the combination of Xplosive Sports Academy, and BP Hockey, a highly popular overnight field hockey camp experience was offered. Players attending the camp received not only field hockey training, but also performance training in speed and agility with real-time digital feedback. Campers trained under current Netherlands Field Hockey Team members, while using the latest training equipment like the Panna Cage. The camp attracted multiple club and high school teams from across the east coast.

“Hannah loved all the different aspects of camp,” exclaimed a parent of a camper at the Xplosive Field Hockey Camp, “The 3v3, college team play, drills, the work outs, and the coaches were all great!”

In addition to the popular new camp locations, Nike Field Hockey Camps also started a new beginner field hockey camp for young athletes, ages 7-10, who are brand new to the sport. The Sticks for Starters program was implemented at the popular Nike Field Hockey Camp in Lexington, MA and proved to be a success. Campers learned the basic fundamentals in stick work while having fun and making new friends.

When asked about her child’s experience in the Sticks for Starters program, Jillian L. had nothing, but positive comments. “Gwen had never played before, and we are not from Lexington. She loved the camp because of the time the coaches took with her and all the fun games and skills she learned. She did not know any other kids there, but by the end of camp she had a few new friends and a love for field hockey!”

With summer 2020 in the horizon, Nike Field Hockey Camps hopes to continue this momentum by bringing quality and fun training camps to athletes across the US. Players, coaches, and parents interested in Nike Field Hockey Camps can visit www.USSportscamps.com/fieldhockey or call 1-800-645-3226.
