Nike Field Hockey Camps brings new field hockey camp to Pennsylvania
Nike Field Hockey Camps has announced the addition of a new camp location at Cedar Crest College. This field hockey camp in Allentown, Pennsylvania is set to run in 2020 and will be directed by Head Coach, Kellina Yarrish.
The new Pennsylvania field hockey camp will allow more players to work on their skills with elite level coaching staff, while competing with fellow athletes from the Lehigh County area. The camp will take place from June 22-25, and will be open to girls, ages 10-18, of all ability levels.
Yarrish is no stranger to field hockey, as she was previously the Head Coach and Nike Field Hockey Camp Director at McDaniel College. During her time there, she led the Terror’s 4-5 home record, and had two players named to the All-Centennial Conference field hockey team. Before McDaniel College, Yarrish spent three seasons with the Cedar Crest College Falcons as the head coach, and she now returns to the FlaconPlex for the 2019 field hockey season.
“We are very happy to be continuing to work with Kellina this upcoming summer,” says Siera Love, VP of Nike Field Hockey Camps. “At the McDaniel camp, she made sure every player walked out with a new skill and more confidence, so we are excited to see what she will bring to the Cedar Crest camp.”
At this summer field hockey camp, players can expect to receive high level instruction from Yarrish and her staff, and they will have the opportunity to practice in a fun and competitive environment. Campers will work on their specific position through various drills, and live game play on the FalconPlex. Goalkeepers can also expect to receive goalie specific instruction on communication and situational drills.
This camp is a partner camp of USA Field Hockey and is sanctioned to make referrals to the USAFH Futures, an Olympic development program.
