Popular Nike Field Hockey Camp in Chelmsford adds another camp session

Wild field hockey camp session

Nike Field Hockey Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, announced a new session at their popular field hockey camp in Chelmsford, MA. The Wild Hawk Field Hockey Academy currently hosts camp with over 100 girls from the ages of 9-18 who come from all over the East Coast. Here players train under the DI coaches from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Head Field Hockey Coach, Shannon Hlebichuck, and Associate Head Coach Katie White will both host one session of camp this summer.

Hlebichuck and White have been running the Massachusetts field hockey camp for three years, and each year brings more players and more training. Their long history of coaching DI field hockey attracts athletes looking to compete at a higher level.

“My daughter had a great time at camp,” stated the parent of a past camper. “The counselors paid attention to her needs and made sure she was being challenged, but also having fun.”

When asked about her daughters’ experiences, another parent exclaimed “My three girls had a lot of fun and learned so much. The camp was very motivating, and they love the sport even more after a week at your camp.”

Hearing positive feedback like this is what pushed Siera Love, VP of Nike Field Hockey Camps, to want to add another camp session with Hlbichuck and White. “We always strive to bring top-notch programs to athletes,” says Love. “Adding this second session means that we are adding an opportunity for players to train with awesome coaches like Hlebichuk and White.”

The Wild Hawk Field Hockey Camps are set to run July 27-30 & August 3-6. The first session will be directed by Hlebichuck, while the second session will be directed by White. Both sessions are open to girls ages 9-18, of all ability levels.

While at camp, players can expect to engage drills designed to elevate their fundamentals and prepare them for their upcoming field hockey season. Goalies can also expect to receive goalkeeping instruction from the UMass-Lowell field hockey staff.
