Nike Golf Camps and the LPGA Join Forces
The Ladies Professional Golf Association will partner with US Sports Camps, America’s largest sports camp network, to conduct LPGA Nike Girls Golf Camps in 2011. “We are very excited to partner with US Sports Camps and Nike Golf Schools to offer a handful of junior day camps this summer,” said Nancy Henderson, Executive Director for the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional membership. “This fits perfectly with our goal to create lifelong golfers, and we couldn’t ask for a better platform.”
“We’ve tried for many years to increase female participation in our camps and schools," said Jason West, Vice President of Nike Golf Schools and Jr. Camps. "Aligning with the LPGA seems like a step in the right direction, given their track record in providing access and programs for girls to enjoy and thrive in golf. Our shared vision is to create a quality learning experience that attracts new players and inspires those who already have some aptitude for the game.”
LPGA Nike Junior Golf Camps offer young athletes the opportunity to experience the wonders of golf in a fun and positive environment. Camp directors are renowned LPGA certified professionals who are dedicated and passionate about the game of golf. Girls of all skill levels (boys are also welcome) will leave with improved skills, higher self-esteem, new friends and more passion for the sport.
This summer, LPGA Nike Girls Golf Camps will offer the following locations:
- Chandler, AZ - Ocotillo Golf Resort
- Tucson, AZ - Haven Golf Course
- Chapel Hill, NC - The Preserve at Jordan Lake
- West Palm Beach, FL - Okeeheelee Golf Course
