US Sports Camps and LPGA Partner to Conduct LPGA Nike Junior Golf Camps
San Rafael, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) -- US Sports Camps and the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) have partnered to conduct LPGA Nike Junior Golf Camps at six locations this summer.
“We’ve tried for many years to increase female participation in our camps and schools,” said Jason West, vice president for US Sports Camps, Inc and Nike Golf Schools and Junior Golf Camps. “Aligning with the LPGA seems like a step in the right direction, given their track record in providing access and programs for girls to enjoy and thrive in golf. Our shared vision is to create a quality learning experience that attracts new players and inspires those who already have some aptitude for the game.”
The LPGA Nike Junior Golf Camps offer young athletes the opportunity to experience the wonders of golf in a fun and positive environment. Camp directors are renowned LPGA certified professionals who are dedicated and passionate about the game of golf. Girls of all skill levels (boys are also welcome) will leave with improved skills, higher self-esteem, new friends and more passion for the sport. Six locations are scheduled for 2011; three in Florida, two in Arizona and one in North Carolina.
“We are very excited to partner with US Sports Camps and Nike Golf Schools to offer a handful of junior day camps this summer,” said Nancy Henderson, Executive Director for the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional membership. “This fits perfectly with our goal to create lifelong golfers, and we couldn’t ask for a better platform.”
Camp prices, hours and ages will vary by location, but each participant will receive a Nike amenity package. “Our alliance with Nike Golf, one of the most respected retail brands, will definitely help us attract and retain new golfers,” added Henderson.
