Nike Junior Golf Camps Opens New Summer Programs in Colorado Coached by the CU Boulder Men’s Golf Staff
January 27, 2021 - US Sports Camps, licensed operators of Nike Junior Golf Camps, recently announced its newest junior golf camps in the Denver area. The organization will host two programs this summer, and both will be coached by the University of Colorado Boulder Men’s Golf staff. The Buffs staff is scheduled for one traditional day camp, and the other will be a parent/child program where campers and their parents can improve their game together. The junior camp is set to take place at Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield and the parent/child camp is slated for Colorado National Golf Club.

Roy Edwards is entering his 15th season at the helm of CU’s Men’s Golf. He is only the third coach ever in program history, which has spanned over six decades. Roy has been described as a “student of the profession” and in a 2016 poll of his peers, Edwards was ranked as one of the top 20 coaches in collegiate golf. Edwards has led the Buffaloes to 12 NCAA Championship appearances, nine times as a team and 3 times as individuals. Edwards was previously an assistant coach at Kansas and Vanderbilt and has coached CU to win 17 major tournaments, which is the most in school history.

The Nike Junior Golf Camp at Broadlands Golf Course (Junior Day Camp) will run one session of full-day camp this summer. This session is geared towards girls and boys of all ability levels, ages 9-18, and will feature hands-on, top-quality instruction each day. Camp will run Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Camp includes morning instruction, college golf discussions, and afternoon course play with the staff. The day camp facility, Broadlands Golf Course, is an 18-hole junior-friendly golf course nestled between Boulder and Denver in the town of Broomfield.
The Nike Parent/Child Golf Camp at Colorado National Golf Club is coed, runs Friday-Saturday from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, and is open to juniors and parents of all ability levels, age 9 and up.
