Cal Lacrosse to host winter camps in January

San Rafael, CA - US Sports Camps, is proud to partner once again with Cal Men's and Women's Lacrosse, and offer two winter lacrosse camp opportunities taking place at UC Berkeley in early January.

The Cal Women’s Winter Lacrosse Camp, taking place January 4-5, offers players from around the country a unique opportunity to advance their skills at Memorial Stadium on the beautiful campus of UC-Berkeley.

Directing the girl’s camp is Brooke Eubanks, California’s Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. "Hosting our Winter Elite Lacrosse Camp provides players a great opportunity to improve on multiple areas of their game prior to the seasons start,” says Coach Eubanks. Eubanks, who won multiple medals as a player for the Canadian Senior National Team, is set for her fifth season as head coach at Cal in 2019. Assisting Coach Eubanks at the Winter Lacrosse Camp includes assistants Denise Wescott, with over 30 years of Division I collegiate coaching experience, and Paige Soenksen, a 2017 All-American at Colorado.

The Cal Women’s Elite Winter Lacrosse Camp is designed for girls ages 13-18 and focuses on advanced skills, position play, team concepts and an overall intense level of competition. The program also offers training specifically for goalies, involving the development of their positioning, stick handling and situational game management. Campers will compete in scrimmages daily to implement the skill work they learned throughout the day in a competitive environment.

This extended-day program includes a total of six field sessions over two days. Suggested hotel accommodations include The Claremont Hotel as well as Hotel Durant, both located in near-proximity to the UC Berkeley campus.

The Cal Men’s Winter Lacrosse Clinic takes place January 12-13 and offers players ages 8-18 the opportunity to improve their skills in a competitive environment. The two-day program runs from 9:00am-3:00pm daily at the newly renovated Maxwell Field.

The clinic is directed by Golden Bear Men’s Lacrosse Coach, Ned Webster along with his UC Berkeley coaching staff and current players. Designed for emerging and elite high school players, stick work, individual attacking and defensive skills as well as team attack and defensive concepts will be covered during the clinic. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to take a tour of The UC Berkeley Campus and Memorial Stadium.
