Nike Running Camps Announces Dates For The Amazing Nike Rose City Cross Country Camp
Join us this summer in Portland, Oregon for our 2020 Nike Rose City XC Camp.
Located in Portland, Oregon, the Nike Rose City Cross Country Camp announces July 26-30 as its camp dates for 2020. Last summer, runners from across the U.S. attended this camp, joining other athletes for an amazing experience in this runners’ mecca. Experience top-notch coaching, breathtaking views, and miles of gorgeous trails while having fun in this great city.
Camp Director and Lincoln High School Coach Eric Dettman says, "We are so excited for year 2 and can't wait to continue building a healthy and positive experience for all kids while pushing them to be the best versions of themselves every day. We will focus on the runner as a whole. We want to develop healthy habits that all athletes will be able to use in their lives as both runners and people." During his time at Lincoln, he has coached four State trophy cross country teams, 21 All-State athletes, one State champion, one male to the Footlocker National Championships, and one girls’ team to the Nike Cross Nationals.
Campers stay in the Portland State University dorms, eat in the dining hall and run at Terwilliger and on other local Portland trails. Skills reviewed include proper and efficient running form, strength and body weight workouts, nutrition, life-skills, clinics on mental toughness and the joy of running. The camp is coed, overnight and day campers, ages 9-18. All ability levels are welcome, those with the desire to train smarter, work hard and to have fun.
