Nike Softball Camps adds High Potential Camp in San Diego
Nike Softball Camps, a subsidiary of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, is excited to announce the addition of a new High Potential Softball Camp due to popular demand at University of San Diego for the summer of 2019.
This San Diego softball camp will run from July 19th-21st and gives players a glimpse of what playing at the college level is like. Campers will start the day with a real college practice, doing the same drills and activities that the college level student-athletes do. Campers will work on individual skills with a team and strategic focus. Afternoon sessions will include college-like pregame prep and scrimmages.
Veteran Nike Softball Camps Director LeeAnn Taylor will take the helm for camp. The San Diego City College head coach, Taylor has led the Knights for the past 12 seasons, winning two coach of the year titles and one conference championship.
“Both Jessica (my co-director) and I have discussed how beneficial it would be to have a high potential camp for several years,” says LeeAnn Taylor. “We are both so excited that we are able to offer this opportunity to expand more on advanced offensive and defensive fundamentals, along with the importance of mental training with these athletes.”
Campers get a feel for what the college game is like and learn advanced softball skills. Camp takes aim at introducing athletes to elite strategies through game-like situations, hitting sessions, and fielding drills. Players learn what it takes to play at the next level.
