CAMP PROGRAM INFORMATION

• Camp Type(s) Offered: Day Camp (Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm)
• Gender: Coed
• Age Range: 10-17
• Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced

SKILL LEVELS & GROUP PLACEMENT

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Participants are then sorted by ability first, then age per the Camp Director's discretion - adjustments are made as needed during camp.

While there are many ways to define skill levels, the following descriptions are what the Camp Directors at Nike Pickleball Camps will use to organize and group camp participants. At the time of registration, please choose the level that best represents your camper's experience:

• Beginner: Players at this level are new to pickleball and have little to no experience. They can hit basic shots and possess a fundamental understanding of the rules, scoring, and court positioning. Focus is on building confidence and familiarity with the game. (No rating or DUPR rating 1.0 - 2.5)

• Intermediate: Players at this level understand the rules and strategy of pickleball and can sustain rallies using a mix of shots. They can hit with some spin and accuracy, resulting in fewer unforced errors. Focus is on refining technique, improving court awareness, and developing strategic play. (DUPR rating 3.0-3.5)

• Advanced: Players at this level are proficient in all aspects of the game and employ advanced strategies. They exhibit strong footwork and a deep understanding of gameplay dynamics. This level focuses on competitive play, advanced shot-making, and tactical decision-making. (DUPR rating 4.0+)

CAMP SCHEDULE

*Please note that this schedule is tentative and will be finalized closer to the start of camp.

MONDAY

• 8:30am-9:00am - Camper check-in at the Sea Colony Tennis Center Pro Shop
• 9:00am-12:00pm - Pickleball instruction

TUESDAY-THURSDAY

• 9:00am-12:00pm - Pickleball Instruction

FRIDAY

• 9:00am-12:00pm - Instruction & camp wrap up
• 12:00pm - Camper check-out at the Sea Colony Tennis Center Pro Shop

MEALS

Meals are NOT included in the camp tuition. Campers depart prior to lunch each day. Campers are welcome to come prepared with their own water, and any additional snacks they may need throughout the day.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

• Instruction: Daily pickleball training, morning and afternoon sessions
• Supervision: Staff members participate in all activities
• Camp T-shirt & Prizes: All campers receive a Nike Pickleball Camps t-shirt and prizes

EQUIPMENT, FACILITY & MORE

• Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
• Facility: Sea Colony Beach Resort was named the 2012 USTA Facility of the Year. With 34 tennis courts, including indoor, outdoor, Har-Try clay, and hard courts, the tennis facilities are a haven for tennis enthusiasts throughout the region.
• Inclement Weather Plan: Indoor courts are available for use as needed
  
• Medical Protocol: In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED FORM

• Please complete & submit the Sea Colony Waiver of Liability prior to camp. This is an additional form required by the facility and is required on top of the US Sports Camps forms. All US Sports Camps forms can be found and completed in the Customer Portal

CANCELLATION POLICY

• If you need to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours before camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for the tuition fees paid, valid for one year for any sport and transferable to any immediate family member. Please note that participants who do not attend their registered session (no-shows) or fail to notify USSC at least 24 hours prior to check-in will not receive a voucher or refund.
• Refunds are available only if the Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your payment due date (1st of the month prior to your camp start date).

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

• Athletic, on-court pickleball clothing

• Pickleball Paddle(s)

• Comfortable court shoes (no running shoes)

• Sweatshirt/warm-up jacket and pants

• Water bottle

• Snacks (optional)

• Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
