Coach Baker’s Peak Performance Tip of the Week - Freestyle Kick
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON! To get the most out of your freestyle kick, you must maintain constant pressure on your feet. That means keeping your feet in the water at all times. Swimmers are notorious for allowing the feet to break the surface, but a break at the surface means a break in propulsion. A great freestyler kicks to the surface, but not through the surface.
For more great tips on freestyle drills come learn from Coach Baker at one of his Peak Performance Swim Camps, located at various locations across the United States and abroad. Teaching, not training, is the first step to swimming excellence. Coach Baker and his PEAK coaches are experts at teaching competitive swimming skills. They simplify the material, create an appetite for learning, and boost swimming performance. Give your child the essential skills they need to compete.
About Peak Performance Swim Camp
The term “peak performance” is defined as a state in which a person performs to their maximum ability. Swimmers who achieve peak performance in competition exhibit a high level of confidence, technical accuracy, and effortless execution. When asked why he decided to name his swim camp Peak Performance, Founder and Head Coach Nick Baker responded by saying: “It was the best way to convey the camps’ purpose. I wanted the swimming community to know that helping swimmers perform at peak levels was our top priority.”
