Volleyball Tips: Warm Up Routine

Every volleyball player needs a consistent warm-up routine! Whether you're warming up for a game, practice, or summer volleyball camp it's important for your success on the court. Check out the important elements of a good warm-up below that we teach at our Nike Volleyball day camps!

1. Stretch: Stretching before any workout is vital to your success before an important practice or game. It's important to incorporate stretches for your whole body since volleyball is an explosive sport.

2. Dynamic Movements: In addition to stretching, your muscles get warm by moving your body! Start each workout with a slow jog and work your way into a quicker pace. You should never start your workouts with sprints. If your body is not warmed up properly, this can lead to injury.

3. Mental Preparation: Preparing mentally is just as important as physical preparation. Volleyball camps, games, and practices bring many challenges. It is important to prepare mentally by visualizing your success on the volleyball court
