TECHNIQUE | SPEED | EXPLOSIVENESS

This two-day Hurdle Clinic is a learn-by-doing clinic that will incorporate a group warm-up session, small groups to allow for more focused attention, an introduction to a series of drills aimed at teaching the correct running mechanics for optimum performance, demonstrations during each session, an introduction to general, immediate, advanced, and specific training paradigms as well as strategies to elevate their skill set.

The Hurdle Collective comprises three hurdle coaches with generational age differences but with one purpose: to elevate and teach the metrics and performance indicators of high-performance hurdling.

The Hurdle Collective seeks to teach a framework built on intellectualism, accomplishments, failure, success, and scientific training principles such as the Law of Progressive Overload, the Law of Reversibility, the Law of Specificity/SAID Principle, the Principle of Individualism, the Principle of Variety, Principle of Active Involvement, and the Law of Restoration; that are centered around Program Design and Long Term Athletic Development Model (LTAD). Hence, The Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model is a framework for optimal training, skill set and work capacity development, competition, and restoration schedule for each athletic development stage to maximize an athlete’s potential.
