Nike Baseball Camp at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California! Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to join us this summer to gain valuable baseball experience and create lasting memories. Quality facilities, knowledgeable coaches, and a positive environment are characteristics of this camp. Whether it be long-term or short-term goals you have set for yourself, Coach Tom Myers and staff are determined to help you get a step closer to your accomplishments San Marcos High School is located minutes east of the Santa Barbara Airport.
Directing the camp is Tom Myers, an Area Scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wes Gibson is the Head Coach of all camp sessions. The goal is for every camper to take their game to the next level, create friendships, and have a good time.

MLB scout and veteran Nike Camp Director Tom Myers is a seasoned pro at running camps and clinics throughout the country. He spent 5 years playing professionally in the MiLB and 13 years as a Division I assistant coach and pitching coach.

Head Coach Wes Ghan-Gibson
Wes is Head Coach for the San Marcos Royals baseball program in Santa Barbara, CA. San Marcos baseball finished the 2021 season with a record of 19-5 and was the Channel League Champion. He is a two-time Channel League Champion ('22 & '23)

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2024 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 15-18, 2024 | July 29-August 1, 2024
- Age Group: 8-17
- Camp Type: General Skills (Ages 8-12) & High School Players (Ages 13-17)
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 9:00am-2:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.
Hitting Fundamentals: The Foundation from the Ground Up; Feet, Hips, Hands; Walking away from hands; Proper Hand load; On-Deck Timing; Be Ready to Hit the FB; Eyes on the middle of the field
Proper Bunting Fundamentals: Set up in batter’s box; Split the bat into 3rds; Create your angle; Drag; Sacrifice; Squeeze; Safety Squeeze
Situational Hitting: Lead off hitter; Get him over, Get him In; Hit/Run; 2K Adjust; R3B < 2 Outs
Fundamental Fielding: Work underneath the baseball; Two Knee Drills; Short hop (Front, glove-side, back-hand); Long hop; Angles; Drop step; Slow rollers; Angle throws; DP pivots; Tag plays; Working through the ball; Pop-up communication; Tennis ball fly-balls; Find the fence; Diving plays; Angle catches; Spin throws

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
