Widely regarded as one of the leading youth soccer coaches in Northern California, Ben Maxwell brings elite experience, proven results, and an unwavering commitment to player development to every program he leads. Voted the #1 Nike Soccer Camp Director in 2025, Ben has guided camps that consistently rank among the Top‑10 Nike Soccer Camps nationwide, setting a national standard for excellence in training, organization, and player experience.

A native of Scotland, Ben has spent the past 13 years coaching in the United States, working across 10 states and calling California home for the last decade. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation as a premier youth coach, particularly known for his expertise in long‑term technical development and helping players reach their full potential. Among his most meaningful accomplishments is the success of the players he has coached, many of whom now compete at the highest levels of the youth game.

Ben has guided players into elite pathways including the U.S. Soccer National Team Training Center, U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA), ECNL, NPL, and NorCal Premier League, with current players selected into the highly competitive NorCal PDP and IDP programs. These achievements reflect not only his technical knowledge, but also his ability to prepare players for the demands of the modern game.

Known for his exceptional preparation and clear communication, Ben holds himself to the highest professional standards. He is deeply involved in every aspect of planning, from individual training sessions to long‑term Future Development Plans (FDPs), and is always accessible to players and families for feedback and guidance.
