Nike Field Hockey Camp at Worcester State University
Nike Field Hockey Director, Lauren Chenevert, Set to Run New Field Hockey Camp in Worcester
Nike Field Hockey Camps just added a new evening field hockey camp in Massachusetts and will be directed by long time Nike Field Hockey Camp Director Lauren Chenevert. This new location is set to run at Worcester Polytechnical Institute in their state-of-the-art turf field stadium.
Chenevert currently hosts two other Nike Field Hockey Camps located in Worcester, and has been coaching field hockey for over 20 years. Some of her field hockey accomplishments include Central Massachusetts Coach of the Year, former Futures Elite assistant coach, and coached multiple collegiate and All-American field hockey players. Her extensive field hockey knowledge will be brought to this Central Massachusetts field hockey camp.
Under Chenevert’s instruction, more players from the Central Massachusetts area will be able to compete and play against other campers who share their love for the game.
“We are very excited to offer another field hockey camp in Worcester this summer,” states Siera Love, Nike Field Hockey Camps National Manager. “Coach Chenevert has always run great camps where campers leave with new and improved field hockey skills.”
While at camp, players will train on the state-of-the-art turf field at Worcester Polytechnical Institute. Chenevert and her staff have a set schedule designed to include offensive and defensive instruction. Goalies looking to improve their skills can receive specialized instruction on the latest techniques used by collegiate athletes. Players can also expect to work on their position through series of intensive drills, top instruction, and live-game play.
This girls field hockey camp is set to run in the evening from July 22-25 from 6:00pm-10:00pm each day and is open to girls ages 10-18, of all ability levels. This camp is a partner camp of USA Field Hockey and is sanctioned to make referrals to USAFH Futures program.
