Nike Junior Golf Camps Announces New Summer Camps in Brooklyn, NY at Marine Park Golf Course
Director of Golf, Rich McDonough, set to host two weeks of Nike Junior Golf Camps in 2019.
March 12, 2019 – US Sports Camps recently announced an alliance with Marine Park Golf Course to bring summer golf camps to Brooklyn, NY. Nike Junior Golf Camps, Marine Park Golf Course will offer full day and half day camp options for junior golfers of all skill levels. These programs are structured to improve the skills of each player in a fun and safe environment.
“We are thrilled to be working with Rich McDonough and the Marine Park staff to host Nike Camps this summer,” says VP of Nike Junior Golf Camps, Nicholas Brunner. “Brooklyn is a fantastic market for golf and I believe our programs will be a huge opportunity for kids to become more passionate for the game. Rich is totally invested in making these an incredible, fun learning experience.”
Rich McDonough serves as director of golf at Marine Park Golf Course and has over 17 years of experience teaching the game of golf. Previously, McDonough has received the award of “Best Golf Teachers in Brooklyn” by Lessons.com. He has certifications in club fitting through Callaway, TaylorMade, PING, Mizuno and Tour Edge as well as TrackMan video analysis.
“We are very excited to partner with Nike Junior Golf Camps this summer,” says McDonough, camp director for Marine Park. “Our golf course and first-class practice facilities, along with the great teaching staff, will provide a memorable golf camp for everyone who participates.”
Marine Park Golf Course is an 18-hole Championship course that is open to the public year-round. Located in southern Brooklyn, this links-style course was designed in 1964 by world-renowned architect, Robert Trent Jones, Sr. It boasts panoramic water views, country club quality greens and fairways, and beautifully manicured driving range and practice areas.
Nike Junior Golf Camps at Marine Park offer two camp sessions in 2019. Session I dates are July 7 – 11 and Session II is slated for August 5 – 9. The morning Half Day Camps run from 9:00am – Noon and include range and short game/putting instruction with the camp staff. This option is geared towards beginner and intermediate players, ages 7-14. The Full Day Camps run from 9:00am – 4:00pm and include morning instruction followed by lunch and afternoon course play each day. This program is geared towards low-intermediate to advanced-level players, ages 9-16. All participants receive a camp amenity package (Nike Golf hat, SRIXON golf balls, drawstring bag, camp workbook and more).
