Nike Overnight Junior Golf Camps are back in Boston at Curry College
University of Connecticut Head Men’s Golf Coach, Dave Pezzino, offers new junior golf camp location at Curry College.
March 14, 2019 – US Sports Camps, operators of the Nike Junior Golf Camps (NJGC), recently announced the return to Curry College in 2019. A long-time location for the summer camps, NJGC is hosting a week of overnight junior golf camp in Boston led by University of Connecticut Head Coach, Dave Pezzino. Coach Pezzino has directed the Nike Junior Golf Camps in Connecticut for many successful years and now looks to add another great program this summer.
“I am excited to host our camp at Curry College this year,” says Coach Pezzino. “Our campers will have a fun learning environment staffed by college coaches and college golfers. We have a wonderful rotation of courses and an action-packed schedule for the week all lined up. Join us at Curry College for a great week of golf!”
Coach Pezzino enters his twelfth year as the Men’s Head Golf Coach for University of Connecticut. Prior to taking the helm at Connecticut in 2007, Coach Pezzino was the head coach of the women’s team at Florida International University. In the 2017-2018 season, Pezzino guided the Huskies to six Top 5 finishes, including a victory in the 2017 Connecticut Cup, the 11th tournament victory by a UConn team under Pezzino.
“Curry College is a great host site and Boston itself is very accessible for campers traveling from other states and countries,” states Jason West, senior vice president for US Sports Camps. “It’s just a really good fit for a week-long overnight camp. On top of that, we brought in Dave Pezzino from UConn and he’s right up there with the best camp directors we have in our network.”
The Nike Junior Golf Camp at Curry College offers a resident camp where players stay on campus for the duration of the camp and bus to local golf courses for daily instruction and supervised course play. The overnight price includes all room/board, golf instruction, course play and evening activities. This camp is coed and is open to players of all ability levels, ages 10-18.
