Orangebrook Golf & Country Club Announces Nike Junior Golf Camps in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Area
Hollywood, FL golf course offers junior day camps in South Florida for summer 2020.
October 21, 2019 – Orangebrook Golf & Country Club, a public golf course located between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, is set to host three weeks of summer golf camps in Hollywood, FL in June. Presented by Nike Junior Golf Camps, the camps are hosted with the goal of growing instruction opportunities for young players in the area looking to improve their skills. The summer programs will be led by veteran PGA professional, Kenny Szuch, and his staff of assistants at Orangebrook.
Kenny Szuch recently took the position of PGA Head Golf Professional at Orangebrook GCC after several years as General Manager and Director of Golf at Lake Forest Golf Club in Daphne, Alabama near Mobile. He is a highly experienced teaching professional, but also has an exceptional record in competitive play. Szuch played college golf and was captain of the Florida State University team (grad. 1976). Later, he played professionally on the PGA European Tour. He is also a South Florida PGA Section Champion.
“Kenny reached out to me this fall asking about the opportunity to bring Nike Camps to his new facility in South Florida,” says Westy McQueen, National Manager for Nike Junior Golf Camps. “From the beginning of our conversation, we started talking about his passion for junior golf and he went on and on about several of his former students. I was just blown away by his passion and dedication. I anticipate he will run an amazing camp.”
Orangebrook Golf & Country Club is a public 36-hole facility located in the heart of Hollywood, Florida. It plays host to the Women’s International 4-Ball Tournament and has also played host to the Men’s Amateur 4-Ball. Apart from its historical course, the facility boasts a fully-stocked pro shop, a large driving range with grass tee and a restaurant.
Nike Junior Golf Camps at Orangebrook Golf & Country Club offer full and half day camps for three sessions in 2020. The Full Day Camps run from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, and include morning instruction followed by lunch (included in camp price) and afternoon course play each day. These programs are catered to players of all ability levels, ages 7 – 16 (varies by program).
