Nike Tennis Camps is thrilled to host its newest location at Boise State University in 2024!

The camp combines elite tennis instruction with an incredible summer experience. Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at BSU, provides the perfect opportunity for young players to learn from amazing coaches in a stunning campus environment. The camp staff is comprised of dedicated college coaches, high school coaches, and collegiate athletes who are committed to helping campers improve their results and create memories that last a lifetime. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 10-17.

2024 CAMP DATES

  • June 23-27

CAMP PROGRAMS

We offer Day Camps (9:00am-4:00pm) and Overnight Camps for kids, ages 10-17. The Nike Tennis Camp at Boise State University offers camp for players of all levels.

All sessions are open to players of all abilities unless otherwise noted. All participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

  • All Skills Program: The All Skills program is designed for tennis players of any skill level and background. Campers will learn fundamentals and improve upon their game.

*We can also provide low-compression balls for younger campers when requested as we use small courts and the low-compression balls for all campers as a training technique for touch and volleys.

CAMP OFFERINGS

  • Day Camp (open to any and all | ages 10-17): The Nike Tennis Camp at Boise State University offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
    The Nike Tennis Camp at BSU is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you have cross country running experience.

  • Overnight Camp (open to any and all | ages 10-17): The overnight program includes instruction, training and fun games, overnight accommodations, all meals, FUN evening activities, and more. The amazing camp staff resides in the dorms in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. The camp utilizes the Julia Davis Park Tennis Courts for all training.

CAMP SCHEDULE

Overnight Camp

  • Overnight Camper Check-in: Sunday between 11:00am-12:00pm in front of Taylor Hall dormitory on campus

  • Overnight Camper Check-out: Awards Ceremony takes place on the last day Thursday at 12:00pm for all campers at the Centennial Amphitheater. Parents are encouraged to attend! Overnight campers will check out at Taylor Hall immediately following the ceremony.

Day Camp

  • Day Camper Check-in: Campers should arrive Sunday between 12:00pm-12:30pm at the Centennial Amphitheater

  • Day Camper Check-out: Awards Ceremony takes place on the last day Thursday at 12:00pm for all campers at the Centennial Amphitheater. Parents are encouraged to attend! Check-out immediately follows at 12:30pm

  • Day Camper Daily Schedule: Sunday 12:30pm-4:00pm, Monday-Wednesday 9:00am-4:00pm, and Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm

PARKING/DIRECTIONS

Overnight Campers will check in on Sunday at the Taylor Hall dorms. Families should pull into the West Stadium parking lot and walk down the river path until you reach Taylor Hall/ Centennial Amphitheater right next door to where orientation is. There will be camp staff waiting to direct you as well as a bunch of signage to assist.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Daily tennis training, morning and afternoon sessions
  • Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
  • Supervision: The staff reside in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: All campers receive a Nike Tennis Camps t-shirt and prizes

MEALS

  • Overnight Campers: All meals provided

  • Day Campers: Lunch is not provided. Campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Max of 1:6 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
  • Facility: Julia Davis Park Tennis Courts.
  • Inclement Weather Plan: In the chance of inclement weather, we will be in contact with parents.
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

HOUSING

  • Dorm: Taylor Hall

  • Number of Campers per Room: 2 per room

  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

  • Linens: Bed linens are NOT provided. Bring linens or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.

  • Air Conditioning: The dorms do have A/C.

EXTRAS

  • Evening Activities: Evening activities will be planned for overnight campers. These activities typically include, game night, movie night, pizza party, camp talent show, etc.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided to/from camp. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time. If there is a need for additional facilities, we may conduct camp nearby at an off-campus location. In this case, overnight campers will be bussed to this location and day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the destination. Parents will be given notice if this is the case.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Athletic, on-court tennis clothing

  • Tennis Racquet(s)

  • Tennis shoes (no running shoes)

  • Sweatshirt/warm-up jacket and pants

  • Water bottle

  • Sunscreen

  • Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)

OVERNIGHT CAMPERS ONLY
  • Athletic clothing mentioned above (1-2 pairs/day)

  • Comfortable off-court clothing (pants/shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts 1 paid/day)

  • Undergarments (1-2pair/day)

  • Swimsuit and towel *We will have access to the pool at different times throughout the week. Pool use will be determined the week of camp. Please pack a swimsuit and towel just in case!

  • Pajamas

  • Shower flip flops

  • Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)

  • Personal items & medications

  • Washcloth and bath towel

  • Fan (optional)

  • Bed sheets (if linens are not provided)

  • Comforter/blanket (if linens are not provided)

  • Pillow/pillow case (if linens are not provided)
