Nike Track & Field Camps is coming to Boise State University this summer! The camp combines top notch sprints, hurdles and jumping instruction with an incredible summer experience. Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at BSU, provides a perfect opportunity for campers to learn from amazing coaches in a beautiful campus environment. The camp staff is comprised of dedicated college coaches, high school coaches, and collegiate athletes who are committed to helping campers improve their results and create memories that last a lifetime. The camp is open to boys and girls, ages 10-17.
For the duration of the week, the camp will be utilizing Boise State’s Ed Jacoby Track & Field facility at Dona Larsen Park, which is just a short walk from campus.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Head Track & Field Coach, Biola University Sean Henning
Sean Henning took over as Biola’s Track & Field and Cross Country head coach in June 2015. He came to Biola after time at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. He attended Azusa Pacific for his undergraduate studies.

Track & Field Coach Rick Smith TF
“Richard “Coach Rick” Smith was a standout track athlete at Long Beach Poly High School in Los Angeles and played collegiate football at Arizona State University and Boise State University. Coach Rick won the 100m Dash at the CIF State Championship while in high school and has a breadth of experience to share with our campers.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

CAMP DETAILS
SECURE YOUR SPOT!
You can expect high demand for these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. This summer, the camp at Boise State University is offering one session of overnight with a day camp (9:00am-4:00pm) option for boys and girls, ages 10-17. Upon arrival at camp, campers are placed into groups with other athletes of similar ages and ability levels. Our camp staff will do their best to accommodate your needs, with consideration of your experience and desire to improve. Next Athletes has designed a comprehensive training program suitable to all levels, including drills, pacing, strength endurance, speed and core strengthening, and mental toughness.
This camp provides sprints and hurdles instruction only.

- Camp Type: Overnight, Day (9:00am-4:00pm)
- First Day Check-In: Please use the linked campus map if you have any questions.
- Overnight Campers: 11:30am-12:00pm at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Day Campers: 12:00-12:30pm for day campers at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
- Last Day Check-Out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Thursday at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
- Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Note: Following camp check-in, all overnight campers will have an opportunity to move into their room in the residence hall briefly but please come dressed in your athletic apparel for camp.
All Campers should arrive at camp, prepared to run on the 1st day of camp.
CAMP INFO:
The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.
Please note: Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation on the first day and closing ceremony on the final day!
SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP
The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. The camp utilizes Dona Larsen Park as its training facility.
- Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 11:30am-12:00pm
- Check-in Location: The Caven-Williams Sports Complex.
- After overnight campers check in, parents and campers will receive their room and access cards and store their luggage in their assigned room.
- Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Check out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-4: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 5: Breakfast
- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $115 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
- Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
SUMMER DAY CAMP (9:00AM – 4:00PM)
The Nike Track & Field Camp at Boise State also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
- Day Camper Drop-Off (Sunday): 12:00-12:30am at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex – see “Summer Camp Info” section for full details about Orientation
- Day Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Thurs): 8:45-9:00am at the DeChevrieux Field
- Day Camper Pick-Up (Sun-Wed): 4:00pm at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Day Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony Location (Thurs): 12:30pm at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex
- Parking: Parents can use the West Stadium Parking Lot for all drop-offs and pick-ups. Parking is free.
SUMMER DAY CAMP HOURS & MEALS
- Sunday: 12:00-4:00pm. Meals are not provided.
- Monday-Wednesday: 9:00am-4:00pm. Meals are not provided. Day campers must pack a lunch.
- Thursday: 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony. Meals are not provided.
- Closing Ceremony: Will take place at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
- Meals: Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night. The location is to be determined for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and important sports psychology topics. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
All Campers should arrive at camp, prepared to run on the 1st day of camp.

HOUSING
- Dorm: Chaffee Hall
- Campers Per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Bathrooms: Shared
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
- Air Conditioning: None. Campers are in their dorms for very limited hours during the daytime and nightly temperatures are typically mild. However, campers are welcome to bring a small fan.
- Key Deposit: Please bring a $115 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEES:
- Instruction: Daytime training sessions
- Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
- Day campers: Instruction and daytime activities only. Lunch is not included
- Supervision: Staff members reside in adjacent rooms to the overnight campers and participate in all activities

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided to/from camp. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time. If there is a need for additional facilities, we may conduct camp nearby at an off-campus location. In this case, overnight campers will be bussed to this location and day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the destination. Parents will be given notice if this is the case.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
CAMP TUITION PAYMENTS
Full payment of camp fees must be completed by the first day of the month before camp. For example:
- June Camps: final payment is due on May 1
- July Camps: final payment is due on June 1
- August Camps: final payment is due on July 1
Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before the start of their camp will forfeit all camp fees paid to date and be removed from the camp.
Your confirmation email shows your balance due and balance due date. Final payments can be made through the US Sports Camps Customer Portal or by phone at 1-800-645-3226.

Camp Questions & Answers
Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?
Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This online form is required to be filled out accurately, signed by the parent (guardian), and completed before your first day of camp.
Can I come to camp alone or do I have to be a member of a team?
We welcome individual campers and teams. If you come to camp by yourself, we place you in a dorm room with another single camper, similar in age. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!
Are the campers supervised throughout the camp?
Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. Staff members reside in the same dorms as the campers and provide supervision during instruction, dining times, evening activities, and in the dorm.
All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.
