Camp Meals

Lunch is not included. Please bring a packed lunch or lunch money. We will also have a concession stand open for lunch and drink purchase.

Camper Evaluation

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability. Parents are invited to attend the closing ceremony! Departure immediately following.

Transportation

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Registration Packet

A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact numbers, and a checklist of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring. The US Sports Camps health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

Scholarships

We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.

My son's love for the game increased because of this camp

June 2, 2018: As a parent, you always want to find the best instruction and coaching for your child so that they can learn and develop as a basketball player. This Camp did more than that. This Camp also emphasized the importance of education, life choices and how the game of basketball was more than just dribbling the ball and shooting it. The camp director and coaching staff were outstanding, they interacted with all the players, they made improving fun and exciting for all the campers. It was awesome to see all the different skill levels in the boy's that attended the camp and to notice my son skill level improve day by day. The camp helped my son to focus on the things that he needed to improve as a player. I was very fortunate to be able to stay and watch the camp the entire week. I could not find not one negative comment to say about the camp. This Camp is well organized, exceeded my expectations and my son will definitely be attending the Nike camp again in the near future. I want to take this time to thank all the coaches for the job that you guy's did in helping develop my son as a basketball player. The improvements in the week that he was there is very noticeable and the love that he has for the game of basketball has increase do to this camp. Thank you all for all you do. We will see you again for sure

    Great Coaches

June 3, 2018: This was Oliver’s first time attending. He had not played basketball in several years and was a little intimidated. The coaches quickly put him at ease and his skills started to come back. He will be back next year

Sincere thank you for running such a professional and positive camp

July 29, 2017: Was so impressed with Coach Ivey's key messages about listening, practicing the basics, choosing friends wisely, and focusing on your goals and the behaviors that will get you there. Wow! We wish to extend a huge, sincere thank you for running such a professional and positive camp. It was one of our best experiences ever -- as parents and now grandparents. From day one there was a clear sense of purpose, and an environment of respect and focus. The coaching team was awesome. Our grandson had a blast and learned some solid new skills. In fact, we've all been out daily practicing and playing together! The evaluation form he received was very helpful. He is just so proud to have participated and to receive recognition in the form of the lanyard and the trophy. Thank you!!

The classroom time was good for Jordan

July 28, 2017: The classroom time was good for Jordan. Many coaches don't teach the mental/psychological components/skills for playing a competitive sport.

    This camp builds character.

June 13, 2016: My son learned a lot from this camp! He now wants to go back and learn more! Coach Ivey is excellent! Not only did he make sure they learned great skills for basketball but also character development for life! He is really talented and got the kids to look at life from a new positive perspective, to think and act as a team, and to work hard for what they wanted. Very well done.

BJ Ivey is more than just a coach.

July 29, 2016: From a parent's perspective, BJ Ivey is not just the coach you want for your son or daughter, but he's a mentor that any parent would welcome into their son/daughter's life. He is constantly encouraging the kids with positive stories and messages about having high standards for themselves and aspiring to be not just the best basketball players they can be, but the best people they can be. Every day of camp my son comes home and excitedly relates multiple favorite parts of his day, little things that happened, small successes or just enjoying his coaches and friends. BJ is an exceptional person and he runs an exceptional camp for which we are super grateful.

Can't wait to do it again next year!

June 13, 2016: My son was happier this year with the more condensed age group. Last year was too big. He did wish it was full day or 5 days instead of 4. He had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year.

Huge thank you to the Director and Camp Coaches at Riverside High for building basketball skills as well as confidence in my son.

I want to express my appreciation for all the support given to my son at camp.  He was new to the sport and tried his best with drills.  The encouragement and coaching really built his self-esteem.  He was surprised when the Director called his name for the award for the camper who worked hard, asked questions, listened, etc. The Nike backpack he won was perfect and even in his favorite color, blue. Thank you to everyone for coordinating the Nike camps. Huge thank you to the Director and Camp Coaches at Riverside High for building basketball skills as well as confidence in my son. The Nike Basketball Camp exceeded my expectations!  He's now going to try out for his middle school's team. Thank you.
