2026 DATES ARE LIVE, REGISTER TODAY!

Nike Cross Country Camps is thrilled to return to Salt Lake City, UT in 2026! Hosted at Westminster University, campers have a unique opportunity to train under the direction of amazing coaches, experience campus life, and make lifelong memories. The camp utilizes Westminster University’s campus and the nearby Sugarhouse Park as its training facilities.

The Nike Cross Country Camp in Salt Lake City is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. This year, the camp will not be utilizing University of Utah. All campers and staff will be housed at Westminster University. Athletic facilities and coaches are subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by Westminster University.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodations. all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff reside in the dormitories in rooms adjacent to the campers and provide supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed in the dormitories at Westminster University.

DAY CAMP (9:00AM – 4:00PM)

The Nike Cross Country Camp in Salt Lake City also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only.

NIKE SPORTS CAMP EXPERIENCE

At Westminster University, Nike Sports Camps offers a unique experience with a wide range of sports (Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Softball, and Swim) operating simultaneously. During the day, the athletes receive sport-specific coaching within their sport focus. In the evening, overnight campers across all sports come together for a special camp-wide experience which includes fun field games, educational seminars, and more.

    Kyle Will is the director of Bushnell University Track & Field. Coach Will serves as track & field director for Next Athletes and the Nike Track & Field Camps at Westminster University and Boise State University.

    After a nationwide search, Bushnell University Athletic Director Corey Anderson announces the hiring of Kyle Will as the new Director of Track & Field and Head Cross Country Coach for the Beacons for the 2023-2024 year.

    Site Director

    Kayla Neff serves as site director for Next Athletes (operators of Nike Sports Camps) and is currently an assistant coach for Biola University Softball. Kayla is the main point of contact for parents across all sports at camp.

    Kayla Neff is entering her fourth year as the assistant coach for Biola University Softball where she was a standout athlete. During her time at Biola, Kayla helped Biola Softball reach the NCAA Division II National Championship and was named to the NCAA Division II All-Tournament Team. Kayla was also acknowledged for the awards below:

    • Earned All-Pacific West First Team recognition
    • Nominated by Biola University for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award
    • Earned Biola's prestigious Dr. Dave Holmquist Career Achievement Award
    • Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

    Assistant Site Director

    Payton Brown serves as an assistant site director for Next Athletes and Nike Sports Camps. Payton is currently a Division II baseball coach at Adams State University and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration. Payton supports all sports and serves as an additional contact for camp families.

Camp Details

CAMP INFO

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.

GENERAL CAMP INFO:

  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed at Westminster University for the duration of the camp.

  • Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 7:30-8:00am.
  • Check-in Location: The Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
    • After overnight campers check in, parents and campers will receive their room keys and will move into their rooms prior to Orientation.
    • Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Check out: On the last day of camp, check-out is at 4:00pm at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
  • Meals: Day 1: Lunch, Dinner | Days 2-3: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 4: Breakfast, Lunch

Housing Information: The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change.

  • Dorm: Olwell Hall (apartment-style units with five and six single rooms per unit)
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Bathrooms: Shared
  • Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
  • Air Conditioning: Yes
  • Room Key Deposit: $120

DAY CAMP (9:00am-4:00pm)

This camp offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only.

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us for educational seminars on Tuesday evening. The location and schedule will be announced prior to camp. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and more. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEES:

  • Instruction: Daytime training sessions
  • Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
  • Day campers: Instruction and daytime activities only. Lunch is not included
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in adjacent rooms to the overnight campers and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Running Camp t-shirt and prizes

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10
  • Grouped by: age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment needed: Please bring your own running apparel, running shoes/event spikes, and hat/sunglasses. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified.
  • Facility: University of Utah campus

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Please label all luggage and athletic equipment with an easily identifiable tag which has the camper’s full name and contact info.

  • Extra spending money ($50). Lunch is available for purchase on campus.

OVERNIGHT CAMPERS ONLY:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing for 3 nights/4 days
  • Running or athletic shoes
  • Non-running shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Pajamas/Sleepwear
  • Backpack
  • Swimsuit and easily identifiable towel
  • Flip flops
  • Toiletries
  • Bath towel
  • Spending Money ($50-100)
  • Linens (twin sheets & blankets or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase)
  • Signed Heath & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
  • Room Key Deposit of $120 (please bring a check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC” on the first day of camp).

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided to/from camp. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time. If there is a need for additional facilities, we may conduct camp nearby at an off-campus location. In this case, overnight campers will be bussed to this location and day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the destination. Parents will be given notice if this is the case.

Campers may be transported by bus to other trail complexes throughout the camp (TBD).

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

CAMP TUITION PAYMENTS

Full payment of camp fees must be completed by the first day of the month before camp. For example:

  • June Camps: final payment is due on May 1
  • July Camps: final payment is due on June 1
  • August Camps: final payment is due on July 1

Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before the start of their camp will forfeit all camp fees paid to date and be removed from the camp.

Your confirmation email shows your balance due and balance due date. Final payments can be made through the US Sports Camps Customer Portal or by phone at 1-800-645-3226.

BEHAVIOR POLICIES

We may ask campers who require 1×1 supervision, disrupt the camp experience, or threaten the safety of themselves or others to leave camp. Behaviors meriting expulsion include, but are not limited to: a cause or threat of violence, putting themselves or others in danger, possession of a weapon, possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, drugs or illegal substance, robbery, damage to property, sexual misconduct or assault, harassment, hazing, racist remarks or acts, or intimidation. In those cases, we will contact a parent to pick up the child immediately. We do not issue refunds to campers who are asked to leave camp.

FAQ

  • Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This online form is required to be filled out accurately, signed by the parent (guardian), and completed before your first day of camp.

  • We welcome individual campers and teams. If you come to camp by yourself, we place you in a dorm room with another single camper, similar in age. It's a great place to meet new friends who share your enthusiasm for the sport and to have FUN!

  • Yes, campers are supervised by the coaches and staff. Staff members reside in the same dorms as the campers and provide supervision during instruction, dining times, evening activities, and in the dorm.

    All staff members complete criminal and sex offender background checks before working the camp.
