Become a more sound and fundamental player at our Nike Football Skills Development Camp American River College in Sacramento, CA. Director Lou Baiz and their coaching staff are going to teach campers the football skills required to play at the next level and maximize their potential on the field. This summer camp will teach you how to properly approach the game as the campers will take part in footwork, offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team play, and game situations.

Director Lou Baiz
Lou Baiz enters his 9th season as Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Beavers. Prior to his arrival at ARC, Baiz spent two seasons (2012, 2013) at Folsom High School as the DC and the team finished the season 28-2 and won two section championships and the previous 16 seasons at Sacramento State. Baiz began his coaching career in 1991-1993 at San Diego State and then returned to his alma mater Sacramento State where he coached for 17 seasons from 1994-2010.

Head Coach Jon Osterhout
Coach Osterhout embarks on his 24th year coaching college football and returns for his 13th season at American River College. Coach “O” enters his 10th season as the leader of the Beavers and also holds the title of acting President for the California Community College Football Coaches Association. He resides in Rocklin, CA with his wife Alison and their two children Hudson (15) and Chelsea (12).

Camp Details
Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, team play, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2024 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: June 10-13, 2024
- Age Group: 8-14
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 9:00am-3:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to camp start time
- Lunch: Lunch will be provided.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Daily Football Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Football Camp T-Shirt, Cinch Sack, Wristband, Sticker, and potentially other prizes!
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes
- Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork, Defensive Fundamentals and Tackling Techniques
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
