College Golf Experience Camps are a perfect place for young golfers to take their game to the next level. These single-day camps allow for the highest level of training and college coaching for your camper to experience.

SUMMER FULL DAY CAMPS

This program is designed to improve tournament performance, develop competitive skills, and boost your junior golf ranking. These camps allow parents and campers to interact directly with college coaches and gain firsthand insights into the college golf experience. CGX camps are recommended for boys and girls between the ages 12-18 who are ready to advance their skills and understanding of college golf. Full Day Camps run from 8:00am - 5:00pm and are open to players of all abilities. Please note: Lunch is provided.

    Sacramento State University Men's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Brakel has led Sacramento State since 2015, guiding the Hornets to four Big Sky Conference Championships and multiple NCAA Regional appearances.

    Sacramento State University Men's Golf Head Coach

    A two-time Big Sky Coach of the Year, he coached the program's first player to finish a season under par and has developed multiple all-conference performers. Brakel played at Hawaii before returning to collegiate coaching.

    Chico State University Men's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Green is in his eighth year leading the Chico State men's program, guiding the Wildcats to one CCAA title, six NCAA Championship Tournament appearances, and a top-three national finish in 2022–23.

    A two-time CCAA and West Region Coach of the Year, he has coached 22 All-CCAA honorees and five All-Americans. Green played at Chico State and is a former NCAA Championship runner-up as a player.

    Coach Owen has led CSUMB for over 15 years, delivering the program's only NCAA Division II National Championship in his third season and earning 2011 Division II National Coach of the Year honors.

    The Otters have advanced to 10 NCAA Super Regionals, won three CCAA Conference Championships, and produced 11 All-Americans under his watch. Owen is a Class A PGA Professional and former Division I player at Southeast Missouri State.

    Menlo College Men's and Women's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Stimack joined Menlo College in June 2025 as Director of Men's and Women's Golf. A former NCAA Championship-level player at Chico State — where his teams earned three top-10 national finishes including a runner-up in 2004 — he brings deep roots in Northern California golf.

College Golf Experience is dedicated to providing junior golfers with meaningful, one‑of‑a‑kind opportunities to connect with college coaches and gain a deeper understanding of the college golf recruiting process. Our camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.

2026 OVERVIEW

  • Date: June 16

  • Camp Type: Full Day Camp Available
  • Schedule:
    • Summer Full Day: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Check-In: 15 minutes prior to camp start time.
  • Lunch: Lunch is included.
  • Program: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
  • Facility: The Reserve at Spanos Park
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own.

The Reserve at Spanos Park is located in Stockton, California. It features a renowned links-style golf course designed by Andy Raugust. With Mt. Diablo as a backdrop, The Reserve showcases incredible California sunrises and sunsets, sure to leave an indelible mark on visitors. Secluded from the pressures and distractions of everyday life, The Reserve offers a refuge, a unique golf experience in an exceptional setting.

  • Campers receive hands-on instruction from College Coaches, learn about the college golf landscape, and have the opportunity to build relationships with coaches from programs across all divisions. Each camp is structured around skill development and educational sessions.

  • CGX camps welcome players across a range of skill levels. There is no minimum handicap requirement for most camp types, though some specialized camps may be better suited for more competitive players. Check the specific camp listing for details, or contact us with questions.

  • Yes — parents are encouraged to attend. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to ask questions directly to coaches. We ask that parents step to the side only during skill instruction sessions and on-course competition.

  • NCAA rules restrict direct communication between college coaches and recruits until June 15th of a recruit's junior year of high school. Attending a CGX camp before that date is one of the few opportunities younger players have to learn directly from and interact with College Coaches.

  • Campers should bring their clubs, golf shoes, appropriate attire for the weather, snacks and any personal items they need for the day.

  • Host hotel information near camp venues are listed on the individual camp pages at collegegolfx.com. CGX does not manage lodging.

  • This varies by venue. Details will be communicated in pre-camp materials.
