College Golf Experience Camps are a perfect place for young golfers to take their game to the next level. These single-day camps allow for the highest level of training and college coaching for your camper to experience.

SUMMER FULL DAY CAMPS

This program is designed to improve tournament performance, develop competitive skills, and boost your junior golf ranking. These camps allow parents and campers to interact directly with college coaches and gain firsthand insights into the college golf experience. CGX camps are recommended for boys and girls between the ages 11-18 who are ready to advance their skills and understanding of college golf. Full Day Camps run from 8:00am - 4:00pm and are open to players of all abilities. Please note: Lunch is provided.

    Coach Emil has led Rice golf to the 2014 Conference USA Championship and has coached five NCAA Regional individual participants, nine All-Conference members, and three C-USA Freshmen of the Year.

    His teams have set school records for stroke average and rounds of par or better, and he has developed 36 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars during his tenure.

    Coach Dismuke serves as both Men's Head Coach and Director of Golf at Houston, overseeing both the men's and women's programs — making him the longest-serving active head coach in Houston Athletics.

    He has led the Cougars to 11 NCAA Regional appearances, including five straight, with three berths in the NCAA Championships. His teams have won 19 tournament titles and his student-athletes have earned 100 All-Academic honors. As an assistant at Texas A&M, he helped the Aggies win the 2009 national championship.

    Coach Kearney joined UIW after a decade at St. Mary's University, where he coached both men's and women's programs to eight consecutive NCAA Regional appearances.

    In his first season with the Cardinals, he guided UIW to their lowest team scoring average, lowest individual scoring averages, and highest DI tournament finish in program history. A former Irish National Team representative and professional golfer, he competed on multiple worldwide tours including an appearance at the 2010 PGA Tour Valero Texas Open.

    Coach Howarth joins Texas A&M after three seasons on the Iowa Hawkeyes women's staff, where she helped shatter the 54-hole school record and guided the program to just its second postseason appearance in history.

    Prior to Iowa, she served as head coach at the University of the Incarnate Word, raising the program 82 spots in the Golfstat rankings over three seasons. A three-time Heartland Conference All-Conference selection as a player at St. Mary's, she helped lead the Rattlers to a fifth-place finish at the 2017 Division II National Championships.

    Coach Fast has helped Texas A&M men's golf win 11 tournament titles, make four NCAA Championships appearances, and produce seven All-Americans during his time on staff.

Our camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.

2026 OVERVIEW

  • Schedule:
    • Summer Full Day: 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Check-In: 15 minutes prior to camp start time.
  • Lunch: Lunch is included.
  • Program: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
  • Facility: Apple Rock Golf Course at Horseshoe Bay Resort
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own.

Designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr., this course offers a welcome challenge with dramatic elevation changes and water coming into play on seven holes.

  • CGX camps welcome players across a range of skill levels. There is no minimum handicap requirement for most camp types, though some specialized camps may be better suited for more competitive players. Check the specific camp listing for details, or contact us with questions.

  • Yes — parents are encouraged to attend. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to ask questions directly to coaches. We ask that parents step to the side only during skill instruction sessions and on-course competition.

  • NCAA rules restrict direct communication between college coaches and recruits until June 15th of a recruit's junior year of high school. Attending a CGX camp before that date is one of the few opportunities younger players have to learn directly from and interact with College Coaches.

  • Campers should bring their clubs, golf shoes, appropriate attire for the weather, snacks and any personal items they need for the day.

  • Host hotel information near camp venues are listed on the individual camp pages at collegegolfx.com. CGX does not manage lodging.

  • This varies by venue. Details will be communicated in pre-camp materials.
