College Golf Experience Camps are a perfect place for young golfers to take their game to the next level. These single-day camps allow for the highest level of training and college coaching for your camper to experience.

SUMMER FULL DAY CAMPS

This program is designed to improve tournament performance, develop competitive skills, and boost your junior golf ranking. These camps allow parents and campers to interact directly with college coaches and gain firsthand insights into the college golf experience. CGX camps are recommended for boys and girls between the ages 12-18 who are ready to advance their skills and understanding of college golf. Full Day Camps run from 8:00am - 5:00pm and are open to players of all abilities. Please note: Lunch is provided.

  • College Golf Recruiting Seminar: Hear directly from College Coaches about how the process works and what they look for in prospective players.
  • On-Course Experience: Play on the course with College Coaches, focusing on course management, decision-making, and tournament strategy.
  • College Golf Seminar: Learn what day-to-day college golf is really like - academics, athletics, travel, and team culture.
  • Lunch with Coaches: Players and coaches share a meal together - parents are welcome to join the conversation at tables during lunch.
  • Skill Development Practice Sessions: Dedicated stations for putting, short game, and full swing with personalized feedback from College Coaches.
  • One-on-One & Small Group Interaction: Ask your questions, get honest answers, and build relationships with College Coaches throughout the day.

This camp is open to any and all entrants limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.

    University of Kentucky Women's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Borst has led Kentucky women's golf to 10 NCAA Regional appearances, eight team championships, and the program's first NCAA Championship finals berth since 1992.

    Under her watch, UK has rewritten its record book entirely — every top-25 individual scoring average, every top-10 team scoring average, and every top-10 team 54-hole total in program history belongs to her teams. She has developed two All-Americans and guided four players from her 2023-24 roster to professional careers.

    Xavier University Men's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Arlinghaus has led Xavier to their best BIG EAST Championship finish since 2016, two tournament titles, and the program's first pair of All-BIG EAST performers since 2019.

    His team earned the GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award with a 3.69 GPA. Before Xavier, he spent four seasons as head coach at Wright State, where he won the 2019 Horizon League Championship — the program's first conference title in 15 years.

    Western Kentucky University Women's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Gary led WKU to a program-record four wins, the program's first Conference USA championship, and first NCAA Regional appearance in the 48-year history of the program, earning back-to-back Conference USA Coach of the Year honors.

    He holds the record for most wins in Lady Topper Golf history and has led the program to 15 All-CUSA selections over his tenure. A Class A PGA member and former professional golfer, Gary also operates the Adam Gary Golf Academy.

    Coach Ponte guided Cincinnati through its transition to the Big 12, overseeing the program's best 54-hole score in history and three individuals combining for eight top-10 finishes in her second season.

    Ohio University Men's Golf Head Coach

    Coach Whitis has led Ohio men's golf to consistent competitive growth since taking over as head coach. He coached Will Kates to the program's first individual championship since 2018 and has developed multiple Academic All-MAC honorees.

    Before Ohio, he helped Toledo to a third-place finish at the MAC Championships as a graduate assistant. As a player at Wittenberg, he was part of the 2016-17 NCAA Division III National Championship team and served as team captain.

    Coach Young is a three-time NGCA All-American and four-time First Team All-SEC player who has guided Louisville to multiple NCAA Regional appearances.

    A Kentucky Golf Hall of Fame inductee, she led the Cardinals to the 2025 Lexington Regional and coached Lauren Hartlage to become Louisville's first four-time All-ACC selection and first golfer to average below par for a season. Before Louisville, she spent four seasons at Georgia, helping the program to three NCAA Regional appearances including a 2016 regional title.

    Coach Brown has led Bellarmine men's golf to three program record team rounds and a record 54-hole tournament total since taking over.

    At Centre College, he guided Chris Morris to three straight NCAA individual championship appearances — including a 2011 medalist title — and coached Emily Bachert to four consecutive NCAA individual championships with two runner-up finishes. A longtime Kentucky Section PGA professional, he was named NGCA Coach of the Year in 2011-12 and twice recognized by Golf Magazine as one of America's top 100 teachers.

    Coach Hand joined Louisville in 2022 and has helped guide the Cardinals to three NCAA Regional appearances and three tournament titles, including a top-25 national ranking.

    As a recruiter, he landed the No. 1 and No. 2 players in Kentucky and an NAIA national champion transfer. Prior to Louisville, he served as head coach at Texas A&M-Commerce and as an assistant at Barry University, where his teams finished first in the final national rankings.

    Coach Crouch helped guide Lipscomb to the ASUN Championship by 17 strokes and an automatic berth to the NCAA Regional, with five top-five finishes and a 65th national ranking on the season.

College Golf Experience is dedicated to providing junior golfers with meaningful, one‑of‑a‑kind opportunities to connect with college coaches and gain a deeper understanding of the college golf recruiting process. Our camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.

2026 OVERVIEW

  • Date: June 15

  • Schedule:
    • Summer Full Day: 8:00am-6:00pm
  • Check-In: 15 minutes prior to camp start time.
  • Lunch: Lunch is included.
  • Program: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
  • Facility: Persimmon Ridge Golf Club
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own.

Persimmon Ridge Golf Club

Persimmon Ridge is located in western Shelby County, 25 minutes from Louisville International Airport, downtown Louisville and downtown Shelbyville. The natural contours of this tract allowed golf course architect Arthur Hills to create a masterpiece of golf course design, which won the prestigious Golf Digest “Outstanding Design” award in 2007.

  • CGX camps welcome players across a range of skill levels. There is no minimum handicap requirement for most camp types, though some specialized camps may be better suited for more competitive players. Check the specific camp listing for details, or contact us with questions.

  • Yes — parents are encouraged to attend. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to ask questions directly to coaches. We ask that parents step to the side only during skill instruction sessions and on-course competition.

  • NCAA rules restrict direct communication between college coaches and recruits until June 15th of a recruit's junior year of high school. Attending a CGX camp before that date is one of the few opportunities younger players have to learn directly from and interact with College Coaches.

  • Campers should bring their clubs, golf shoes, appropriate attire for the weather, snacks and any personal items they need for the day.

  • Host hotel information near camp venues are listed on the individual camp pages at collegegolfx.com. CGX does not manage lodging.

  • This varies by venue. Details will be communicated in pre-camp materials.
