Softball Field at Angelica Park
The Alvernia University Softball team competes at the softball field at Angelica Park - a short walk from Alvernia's main campus. The Crusaders began play on their new field in April of 2009, with their 2010 season marking their first full season on the field.
The new facility features a brick press box, stone dugouts, backstop and right field wall, home and away bullpens, batting cages and an impressive scoreboard in left center field. Outfield fences sit six feet high 210 feet from home plate all the way around. With plenty of room for fans and the beautiful Angelica Park in the background, Alvernia's softball facility is one of the best in the region.
In 2016, the softball complex received its most recent upgrade, black backstop padding with the Alvernia name proudly written across the back.
Alvernia continues to be a top host site for the MAC Commonwealth Championships. Hosting in 2011 and 2014, the MAC Championships will be played in Angelica Park again in 2017.
