- Reverse Hit. There are 3 main components to remember in the reverse hit. This first one is taking a step with your right leg and making sure the ball is one stick length away from your body. The second component is hitting the ball with the edge of the stick and the third component is keeping your body low.
- Flick. This technique is used to avoid pressure from opposing players. Make sure to transfer your weigh properly so you can lift the ball, not only with your arms, but with your body. A trick is to look under the ball.
- Spin. This is used to protect the ball with the right side of the stick and the body. Make sure to spin to your stronger side, this will help to avoid the defender and to protect the ball.
- Drag Flip. This is typically used in penalty corners. Your hands should be on the top of the grip and your body should be low. In the drag flick, you are dragging the ball from your back foot to your font foot, all while transferring your weight to the front of your body.
