At NIKE Soccer Camps, our goal is to stimulate a love for the game in young athletes by showing them how to accelerate their own progress and success. By partnering with NIKE, our title sponsor, and working with the country’s best coaches, we are able to offer an unforgettable growth experience no matter what your age or skill level.

Adelphi Womens Soccer Camp is directed and staffed by both the Adelphi Womens Coaches and its current players. Former and current professional coaches and players will also be highlighted as camp instructors.

Located near Long Island’s parks and beaches, the 75-acre Adelphi University campus is only 30 minutes from New York City, offering a safe, suburban campus environment for our camp.

Meet your coaching staff
Camp Director

Chris Armas

A 1994 graduate of Adelphi University, Chris Armas was selected in the 1st Round of the Inaugural MLS Draft in 1996. He went on to play in the MLS for 12 years with the LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire, before completing his professional career as an Assistant Coach in Chicago.

During his illustrious career he played 66 times for the USA National Team and was part of 2 World Cup Teams, won 1 MLS Championship and 4 US Open Cup Championships, participated in 7 MLS All-Star games, was selected to 5 MLS Best 11 Teams and was named the 2000 US Soccer Player of the Year.

After retiring Chris returned home to Long Island and taught Physical Education at his former High School St. Anthony’s, as well as working with local soccer clubs in Albertson, Floral Park and Massapequa. On July 13, 2011 he was named Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Adelphi University. In his first year in the role he guided the Panthers to an 8-8-1 record and an appearance in the NE10 Conference Tournament.

Assistant Coach

Jordan Russolillo

Jordan Russolillo is in his first season as an assistant coach with Adelphi University. Russolillo helps coordinates the team’s strength, conditioning and fitness regimens.  Former Chicago Fire Major League Soccer player was instrumental in the team’s U.S. Open Cup championship against the LA Galaxy in 2006. As the 34th overall choice in the 2006 MLS draft, he trained in Mexico during his rookie year with the Fire and had a successful showing against Mexican First Division teams Chivas, Atlas and Tecos during pre-season.

During his collegiate career with the Southern Connecticut State University Owls men’s soccer program, Russolillo was recognized as an All-American player by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for three consecutive seasons(2003-05) –an honor only one other player has ever received in University history. He was also selected as the 2005 Northeast-10 Conference men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Year as well as the Connecticut Collegiate Player of the Year in 2006.

Overnight Campers: Professional coaching and instruction, all meals, housing, 24 hour supervision and evening activities.

Extended Day Campers (varies on first and last day) 9am-9pm: Professional coaching and instruction, lunch, dinner and evening activities.


Check-in: Sunday, July 13th between 9am-10am at Center for Recreation and Sports
Check-out:  Tuesday, July 15th 5:00pm from the dorms

Players Grouped by: skill, age, years of experience
Evaluation: Written by coaching staff
Equipment Needed:  Soccer cleats, shin guards, goalies must bring own equipment, etc
Facility:  Grass and turf fields


Dorm: assigned at check in
Campers Per Room: 1 or 2
Roommates: If you have a roommate request, and have not already given it to us, please do so no later than 14 days before the start of camp. We will do our best to grant roommate requests. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age or in a single room.
Bathrooms: shared by floor
Linens: not provided
Air Conditioning: NO
Key Deposit:  $90 made payble to USSC
Spending Money: $20-$30, please do NOT bring a pre-written check
Medical Facility: an athletic trainer is on-site

Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, as a group by mail or fax, each camper will receive a $25 discount. Click “Get Brochure” above and print the application.
