Join us for an intense session of volleyball instruction at Butler University. All Skills and Advanced campers are invited to train on the courts of Hinkle Fieldhouse, one of the most celebrated gymnasiums in collegiate sports history and home to Bulldog volleyball.

Campers choose from two programs:

All Skills instruction can be attended by girls, ages 12-18, playing at any skill level. Campers will master the fundamentals, develop proper mechanics and gain valuable game play experience.

Advanced instruction is recommended for girls ages 15-18 entering grades 10-12. This intense, challenging program stresses position play, advanced team techniques and physical conditioning. Campers will be expected to participate in a thorough skill evaluation on the first day and will be divided into groups by ability level.

Highlights Include

  • Training under the country’s best coaches
  • Excellent residential, dining and training facilities
  • Six hours of daily instruction
  • Coach to camper ratio is 1:10
  • Players grouped by age and ability level
  • Personal evaluations from your coach

Campers will stay in Residential College Hall, an air-conditioned, suite style dormitory on campus. The dining hall is conveniently located within ResCo and campers are encouraged to take full advantage of the hall’s other amenities (exercise room, lounges, kitchenettes, laundry room) throughout the week.

Sharon Butler

Butler's all-time leader in volleyball wins

  • 2010 Horizon League Champion and NCAA Tournament appearance
  • Had 6 winning seasons at Butler
  • Coached 4 20-win seasons (1996, 2003, 2009, 2010)

Under the guidance of head coach Sharon Clark, the Butler volleyball program has reached the top of the Horizon League. In her 11th season at Butler (18th overall), Clark mentored the Bulldogs to the 2010 Horizon League Volleyball Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.

The 2010 season started with the team playing some of the nation's top teams, including Baylor, Louisville and Arizona. The tough competition paid off as Butler would go 13-3 in the Horizon League and then win the league tournament as the No. 2 seed. After playing in the NCAA tourney, Butler finished the 2010 season with a 21-10 record.

Clark's 2009 Butler squad was one of her best. Butler went 21-14 - including a 9-0 mark at home - and claimed a regular season tourney championship at IPFW. The total of 21 wins was at the time the program's highest mark since 1997. Another milestone for Clark came during the 2009 season, when the coach picked up her 250th career victory. She enters the 2010 campaign with 156 victories at Butler, 13 shy of the school record.

During her time at Butler, Clark has made a habit of developing some of the top talent in the Horizon League. Nine Bulldog players have been named to the conference all-newcomer team in the past six seasons, including one player who won the league's newcomer of the year award.

The 2008 Bulldogs finished the year with 19 wins - the school's most since 2003 - and ended up just one set shy of reaching the Horizon League Championship match for the 10th time in program history.

Overall great program and great instructors

"We were glad we sent Lexy to Nike VB camp. She felt challenged which made her work harder than ever. Lexy gained confidence in her abilities especialy when she received feedback from the coaches.Eventhough she complained a little about her muscle aches and painful heel blisters, she never asked to quit. In fact, she was excited to go back the next days.We will not hesitate to send her again. Overall, great program and instructors"
