SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP (CONTACT)
The overnight contact camp is designed to provide players a quality coaching experience across in an immersive, on-campus environment. During the week, campers will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, offensive and defensive skills, individual positions, team plays, and game situations. Overnight campers will also take part in fun evening activities and educational seminars on college recruiting, sports psychology, and more. This camp is a contact program and has a wrap-up only policy to protect players from injury. The overnight contact camp is open players of all abilities, ages 13-17.
SUMMER DAY CAMP (CONTACT)
The contact camp also offers a day program for local players who would prefer to commute. This program is also open to players of all skill levels, ages 13-17. This camp runs from 9:00am-5:00pm daily (times vary on the first and last day).
SUMMER DAY CAMP (FLAG)
Our flag football camp is an amazing opportunity for younger players to receive high-quality training in a low-contact environment. Open to girls and boys, and skill position players ages 7-17, this program provides elite-level coaching and a fun environment! This camp runs from 9:00am-5:00pm daily (times vary on the first and last day).
The flag and contact camps are run as two separate programs. The contact camp has both overnight and day options and the flag camp is offered to day campers only.
Campers are transported by bus to local athletic facilities for daily training

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Dustin Presley (“Coach P”) is the defensive backs coach at Long Beach City College and serves as the football director for Next Athletes and Nike Football Camps.

On-Field Director Will Hawes
Will Hawes is the former head coach for Judge Memorial Catholic High School and serves as the football director for Next Athletes. Coach Hawes has been a football coach for nearly 25 years and now serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for Judge Memorial. Coach Hawes played collegiate football at Weber State University and has a wealth of athlete and coaching knowledge to share with each young athlete.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Camp Details
Nike Football Camps feature non-contact flag football and contact drills and scrimmages with a high-quality staff of coaches and players. At camps, "contact" is introduced in a slow, gradual progression before any actual "contact" is initiated. Campers are divided according to age, weight, and ability.

- First Day Check-In: Please use the linked campus map & campus photo if you have any questions.
- Overnight Campers: 11:30am-12:00pm at Lawton Plaza
- Day Campers: 12:00-12:30pm for day campers at Lawton Plaza
- Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
- Last Day Check-Out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Wednesday at Lawton Plaza
- Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
- Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Note: Following camp check-in, overnight campers will store their luggage in a secure room at Doheny Hall and return immediately to Lawton Plaza for orientation. Overnight campers will check into their dormitory after the first day of training.

Please note: Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation on the first day and the closing ceremony on the final day!

- Day Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Wed): 8:45-9:00am at Lawton Plaza
- Day Camper Pick-Up (Sun-Tues): 5:00pm at Lawton Plaza
- Day Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony Location (Wed): 12:30pm at Lawton Plaza
- Parking: Parents can use Drollinger Parking Plaza for opening and closing ceremonies. Pay to park $3/40min, use license plate number at kiosk.
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 6:30-7:30pm on Monday and Tuesday night at Lawton Plaza for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and important sports psychology topics. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
HOUSING
The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change.
- Dorm: Doheny Hall
- Number of Campers Per Room: 2 per room
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Bathrooms: Shared
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
- Air Conditioning: None. Campers are in their dorms for very limited hours during the daytime and nightly temperatures are typically mild. However, campers are welcome to bring a small fan.
OVERNIGHT INFORMATION
- Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 11:30am-12:00pm
- Check-in Location: Lawton Plaza
- After overnight campers check in, they will store their luggage in a secure location. Overnight campers will check-in to their dormitories in the late afternoon after the first day of training.
- Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Check out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at Lawton Plaza
- Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-3: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 4: Breakfast
- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $25 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
- Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at Lawton Plaza. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
SUMMER DAY CAMP HOURS & MEALS
- Sunday: 12:00-5:00pm. Meals are not provided.
- Monday-Tuesday: 9:00am-5:00pm. Meals are not provided. Day campers must pack lunch.
- Wednesday: 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony. Meals are not provided.
- The closing ceremony will take place at Lawton Plaza. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
- Meals: Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
