Nike Junior Golf Camps
Join University of Rochester Head Coach, Dan Wesley, and his staff of teaching professionals and college players for a week of golf camp in New York this summer.
Golf activities take place at Ravenwood Golf Club, Victor Hills Golf Club and Mill Creek Golf Club. Three hours of morning instruction is followed by lunch and course play in the afternoon. Overnight campers will reside on campus at Rochester Institute of Technology. Breakfast and dinners will be held in the dining halls and evening activities will be scheduled each night.
Nike Junior Golf Camp in Rochester also offers a day program from 8:30am-5:00pm for local players. Day campers can be picked up and dropped off on campus each day and take the bus with overnight campers to the golf course. All golf instruction and lunch is included in the camp price.

Camp Director Dan Wesley
University of Rochester Head Coach, Dan Wesley, returned to his alma mater in 2007 to take over the Yellowjacket golf program.View Dan's Bio ⟩
A 1996 graduate of Rochester, Wesley played for the legendary Don Smith and served as team captain his senior year. While at Rochester, Wesley played in three NCAA Championships, helping the Yellowjackets to a sixth place finish and their highest ranking ever in the national poll. Wesley also was a three time all UAA selection.
After graduating from Rochester with a B.S. in Psychology, Wesley served as an assistant golf professional at The Country Club of Rochester and at The Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida before moving on to sales representative positions with both Maxfli and Srixon. While at The Country Club of Rochester, Coach Wesley learned under Sam Urzetta, the 1950 US Amateur champion and longtime Rochester sports legend, and his son Michael, the current head professional at CCR. Coach Wesley resides in Pittsford with his wife Kelly (UR ’00), daughter Emma, and son Jack.
Coach Scott Moyer
Scott Moyer, Director of Golf and men’s coach, has led the Green Terror to eight NCAA National Championship appearances with the most recent appearance in 2013 and has won several conference championships, including the 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2013 titles.View Scott's Bio ⟩
Under Moyer, the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2013, McDaniel was ranked 19th in the final Golf World/Nike Golf Division III coaches’ poll – its highest final ranking following the 2011 season.
Moyer has won 18 conference team championships and coached 16 individual conference champions on two levels in addition to holding two NCAA coaching records. In 2005, both the men’s and women’s teams won the Centennial Conference team championship as well as both individual titles, making it the first institution in NCAA history to accomplish this feat.
In addition, McDaniel is believed to be the first team to have four different players win the individual conference championship in four consecutive years (2005-08).
Moyer has worked with coaches and players from around the United States as well as South Africa, Germany, Spain, Canada, and Korea, Japan France, Sweden and Austrailia. His players and students have competed at every level of golf competition, including the PGA Tour, Futures Tour, U.S. Open, British Amateur, U.S. Amateur, Porter Cup and the NCAA national championship Several of his former players have gone on to be successful college players at the D1, D2 and D3 levels.
Moyer is a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America and speaks at numerous recruiting workshops, including those in Pinehurst, N.C., and for the Mid-Atlantic PGA. He also serves as the Director of the National Golf Coaches Academy and directs numerous NIKE golf camps nationwide.
Nike Junior Golf Camps provide young golfers with the tools to enjoy this great game for a lifetime. The Overnight fee includes all golf instruction, green fees, evening activities, housing and meals. The Day Camp option includes all golf instruction, lunch, and course play. Day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the golf course each day.
Campers are supervised 24 hours a day. The staff lives in the dormitories with the campers and participates in evening activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide transportation to and from airports, bus depots or train stations. The packet we send to registered campers in the spring offers suggestions on shuttle services for each specific camp.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the Spring.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 7:00am Wake-up and breakfast on campus
- 8:00am Depart to golf course
- 8:45am Skills demonstrations conducted by Nike Camp staff
- 9:00am - Noon Small group instruction - campers rotate through stations working on putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full swing
- Noon Lunch and relaxation
- 1:00 - 5:00pm On course instruction (9-18 holes) focusing on course management, shot/club selection, rules and etiquette
- 5:45pm Dinner
- 7:00 - 9:00pm Evening activities
- 10:00pm Lights out
RAVENWOOD GOLF CLUB
Ravenwood Golf Club is an award winning 18 hole course located just minutes south of Rochester, New York and in the heart in the Finger Lakes Region of Western New York. Considered to be the top public golf course in the area, Ravenwood was selected by Golf Digest as the 5th "Best New" public course in the United States to open in 2003.
VICTOR HILLS GOLF CLUB
Victor Hills Golf Club is a family owned and operated public golf course established in 1974. Victor Hills is a member of the Rochester District Golf Association and USGA. Victor Hills has 63 of the Finger Lakes most picturesque golf holes situated on 550 acres of rolling hills in the northwest corner of Ontario County in Victor, New York. Three beautifully designed, unique and well manicured regulation golf courses located only 15 minutes outside of Rochester, NY.
MILL CREEK GOLF CLUB
This land on which Mill Creek Golf Club sits, plays on, off and around the highest point in Monroe County with views to the east of the Rochester skyline and the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes to the south. Rochester’s newest 18 hole championship course integrates the spirit of the unique glacial drumlin that bisects 320 acres of forested rolling hills, windswept fescues, rock creeks and waterfalls.
