at Nike Softball Camps

Nike Softball Camps is excited to return to Boise State University in 2026! Register today and enjoy elite-level training while making memories to last a lifetime. The camp offers a unique opportunity to train under the direction of college coaches and current and former collegiate athletes who serve as counselors. The camp is open to athletes ages 10-17.

Overnight Camp

Our overnight camp at Boise State offers an immersive, on-campus experience where campers reside in the beautiful BSU dormitories (just steps from the Boise River) in adjacent rooms to the camp staff while training during the daytime hours. The tuition includes housing, meals, fun evening activities, as well as college recruiting seminars on Tuesday evening (parents are encouraged to attend the seminars!).

Day Camp (9:00am – 4:00pm)

Nike Softball Camps also offers a summer day camp program for athletes who do not wish to stay overnight. This program runs 9:00am-4:00pm (schedule varies by day) and includes daytime training only. Campers can bring their own lunch or purchase it on campus.

Nike Sports Camp Experience

At Boise State University, Nike Sports Camps offers a unique experience with many sports (Baseball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, and Track & Field) operating simultaneously. During the day, the athletes receive sport-specific coaching within their sport focus. In the evening, overnight campers across all sports come together for a special camp-wide experience which includes fun field games, educational seminars, and more.

Softball Complex/Transportation Information

Boise State University does not have an on-campus softball field so we will be transporting campers to a nearby softball complex by bus. In years past, we have utilized the Fort Boise Park and Storey Park Softball Fields as our host facilities. We will have our 2026 facilities confirmed in the spring.

The Nike Softball Camp at Boise State University is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. Athletic facilities and coaches are subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by Boise State University.

Highlights Include

  • Instruction from passionate coaches and current and former student athletes
  • Low camper to coach ratio
  • Morning and afternoon training sessions each day
  • Fun field games and other evening activities (overnight program only)
  • Panel-style evening seminars covering important topics within collegiate athletics
  • All campers receive a Nike Camp T-shirt and have an opportunity to win prizes (based on merit)

    Eli Espinosa Headshot

    Eli Espinosa

    Softball Director

Eli Espinosa will be entering her first season at the helm of the MACU Softball program for the 2025-26 athletic year.

Espinosa comes to MACU after serving as an assistant coach for NCAA D-II powerhouse Oklahoma Christian during the 2024 season, helping lead the Eagles to a 38-21 record and finished as the No. 25 team in the country while the team once again qualified for the NCAA South Central Region Tournament.

In her lone season with the Eagles, Espinosa primarily served as the team's hitting coach as the Eagles slashed for a .300 team batting average with 87 doubles, 23 triples and 18 home runs for 227 RBIs and 255 runs scored. The 23 three-baggers hit by OC on the season marked the 12th-most hit by a team at the NCAA D-II level during the 2024 season. The Eagles made a strong run during South Central Regional play, picking up victories against Metro State-Denver and Colorado Christian before being eliminated by the eventual D-II National Champion, Texas-Tyler.

On top of the hitting duties, Espinosa was also responsible for base running, infielder and outfielder-specific defensive drills to go along with handling some administrative duties as well, which included travel arrangements, external communications, and compliance.

Espinosa began her coaching career at Iowa Western Community College during the 2023-24 academic year, where she served as the hitting coach for a Reivers squad that finished the year with a 41-19 overall record, won the NJCAA Region XI Championship as well as the Midwest District Championship. The Reivers also won a pair of games at the NJCAA World Series before eventually being eliminated.

A native of Littleton, Colo., Espinosa played her college ball at the NCAA D-I level, getting her start with the Texas Longhorns in 2019 before playing her final four seasons at Utah, where she was a part of the 2023 Utes squad that advanced all the way to the NCAA Women's College World Series.

As a player and a coach, Espinosa has been a student of the game under some of the best college coaches in the country, including Texas head coach Mike White, Chealsea Spencer, Utah coach D.J. Gasso, and Oklahoma Christian head coach Shalee Rodriguez.

Sam Silver joins the Bushnell softball coaching staff for the 2025 season. Silver had a spectacular career as a player for the Beacons on and off the field. As a pitcher, she finished her career ranked in the top-ten all-time in nine different categories and ranks fifth all-time for wins in program history. In 2023, Silver was named the winner of the NAIA's Dr. Leroy Walker Champion of Character Award, one of the organization's highest annual honors. She was Bushnell's first recipient of any NAIA major award.

Silver has been coaching and giving private lessons for many years and most recently served as an assistant coach at Springfield High School. She has also been a head coach for the Diamonds Fastpitch 16u and 14u teams.
