This day camp in Rogers, AR, features engaging drills, exciting games, and expert instruction designed to help you sharpen your skills and elevate your performance. The Basketball Academy Camp is designed for athletes that are serious about raising their game to the next level. The RYG Athletics Basketball Academy combines classroom and court time to teach athletes (ages 10-14) the leadership, mindset, and basketball skills they need to thrive. The camp features two classroom sessions a day that dive into leadership, mindset, basketball principles of play and film. The twice daily court sessions give athletes the opportunity to immediately put into practice the things they're learning in the classroom in a fun, challenging, and competitive environment.
The Intro to Hoops Camp is designed for younger campers that are new to the sport. Campers receive an introduction to basketball and will learn basic concepts, terminology, and gross motor movements to help improve their skills and confidence.

Camp Director Luke Gromer
Luke Gromer is the founder and director of RYG Athletics. Luke has been coaching basketball for nearly a decade and holds a bachelors and masters degree in education. For the last 15 years, Luke has spent his summers working at, leading, or directing summer camps.

Director Josh Tarver
Josh Tarver is a Nike Basketball Camp Director and high school basketball coach. Coach Tarver currently serves as the assistant coach for the Har-Ber High School girl’s varsity basketball team. In 2022, Coach Tarver helped lead the team to its first conference title in school history and a semi-final appearance in the state tournament.

Basketball Academy CAMPER HOURS
- Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
- Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 2:30PM
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
- Daily Camp Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM
INTRO TO HOOPS CAMPER HOURS
- Check-in: Monday at 8:30AM
- Closing Ceremony: Thursday at 11:30AM
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers will depart prior to lunch.
- Half Day Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-12PM
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a sack lunch each day
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.
- Basketballs: Basketballs are provided for instruction during camp
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
- Facility: Indoor courts
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
BASKETBALLS
Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PRE-CAMP CHECKLIST
To view your customer account, complete your mandatory forms, pay balance dues, and review important camp information, visit Pre-Camp Checklist. All necessary camp information is on this page. If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!
PACKING LIST
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
COMPANY POLICIES
If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

The AAO Whitaker Family Sports Complex is a 10 acre property that has a 54,000 sq.ft. indoor sports center that holds four large multi-functional hardwood courts, classrooms, restrooms and a concession area. Each court area has its own customized and contained area, with six retractable basketball goals and retractable bleachers to give it the flexibility it needs to support an array of activities and programming.
