Varsity Academy in Calgary has been the place for NBC Camps' pre-season and post-season basketball training since 2008. VA is your chance to give your child a weekly dose of NBC Camps enthusiasm, intensity and confidence building throughout the school year. Outstanding NBC coaches invest in kids each week under the leadership of long time NBC Camps master teacher Benji Williams.

Camp Director Benji Williams
Benji Williams has been involved with NBC since 1993. First as a camper, then as a Master Teacher during summer camps, and lastly the Director of NBC Varsity Academy. In addition to his work with NBC Camps Benji has been a Physical Education teacher with the Calgary Board of Education for 15 years, working in Jr High, Sr High and Elementary schools. Benji is passionate about helping student become the best people and athletes they can be. He loves to use all sports to teach to important life skills such as how to persevere, gain confidence, be a great teammate and have fun.

Camp Details
Each athlete in the Varsity Academy will be given a VA t-shirt that is to be worn to each gym time as the Varsity Academy uniform. All athletes are expected to provide their own basketball, water bottle and indoor shoes.
VARSITY ACADEMY D2 TRAINING
Designed for ages 10-13, we divide athletes into training stations based on skill level and ability. It is worth the investment to learn basketball skills correctly during the formative years. We take pride in making sure athletes can execute skills correctly. Each athlete is important to us and we want to help you reach your basketball and life dreams and goals.
VARSITY ACADEMY D1 HIGH SCHOOL ELITE
High School Elite is designed for high school athletes. This program is set up to challenge advanced players and will teach skills appropriate for the high school player. Intensity and competition will be high priorities. The Fall program is specifically designed to help prepare you for basketball season. Freshman-Senior athletes may enroll. Younger athletes will accepted at the discretion of the VA staff. This program is designed for the older and more skilled high school age players. Teaching takes place primarily through competitive games and structured, organized play.
