Welcome to the Nike Elite Golf Camps at Aileron Golf Academy! Join PGA Class A member and Head Golf Coach for Aileron Golf Academy, Brian Newman, and his amazing staff of teaching professionals for a camp experience you won't forget!

Overnight Elite Camp

Structured for competitive junior golfers ages 12-18, this elite camp presents an exciting, fun-filled learning environment at Aileron Golf Academy and Aileron Golf Club. Campers will utilize the state-of-the-art practice facilities at Aileron Golf Academy, while receiving instruction from Brian Newman, and the Aileron Golf Academy staff. All aspects of the game are covered including: full swing, short game, wedge play, putting, course management, tournament preparation, and the mental side of the game!

Campers will be housed at Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor for the duration of the program! Players will stay in two-person dorm rooms and will be paired with other campers of similar age, roommate requests are available. Counselors stay in adjacent rooms.

Camp sessions run Sunday through Thursday during the summer, but campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple weeks!

Parent/Child Camp

Head Golf Coach, Aileron Golf Academy Brian Newman

Brian is a highly experienced PGA Class A member with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Golf Management. He has owned multiple Golf Academies in Fort Myers, FL and is currently the Head Coach at Aileron Golf Club. He is a certified personal trainer and golf fitness specialist who can improve a golfer's physical condition and ball flight in a single session. Brian is adept at using the latest golf technologies to optimize golfers' swing enhancements.

Rounding out his background in full-swing performance, Brian has learned short-game techniques while teaching alongside some of the game's top instructors, including Stan Utley and Jeff Pierce, a short-game coach for multiple tour players.

Brian also serves as the Director of Instruction and Fitness at Orange Whip Golf, a well-known training aid company. He has designed award-winning training aids for Orange Whip and created the Golf Fitness X online swing training program, which has sold over 3,000 memberships worldwide. Featured in Golf Digest as one of the Five Best Swing Speed Training programs, the program has been named the best off-course fitness program for three consecutive years by the Golf Fitness Association of America.

Teaching Philosophy
I don't look to change swings when I go into a teaching session. I simply make them more efficient. This is my goal. I take a player's pre-existing habits, find their fatal flaw, and correct it in the simplest way possible. The technique avoids modifying a player's swing style and attacks the cause of the issue rather than chasing the
effect, which is a common practice. By doing this, we will see positive ball flight changes take place quickly with measurable data to prove our concept.

I am interested in learning more about the students, including their golfing habits, learning techniques, and lifestyle. For instance, drills will not apply to their program if a player does not practice off-course. As a coach, you must be a chameleon and be able to modify the learning environment to get the job done.

In addition, my job is to educate the students during their session since their perception of their swing determines its quality. "Understanding the 'why' and 'how' of a shot helps eliminate distractions and promote self-learning. After our session, the student will have a personalized and simple plan based on our findings."

Lastly, as a coach, it is essential to be adaptable and adjust the learning environment to suit the student's personality. The students' overall experience is as significant as the improvements made, and I aim to create a fun, productive, and memorable golf school.

This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. This program is specifically designed for the tournament golfer who wishes to play college golf and improve their tournament results. It is open to all skill levels, but the curriculum is geared towards players who are playing competitively. These camps offer training and real competition scenarios that develop every part of your game. During the week, campers work on short game, putting, approach shots, course management, and will test their new skills in weekly competitions and 18-hole tournaments. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

Check-In: Check-in for all campers occur on Sunday at 2:30pm at the Sunseeker Resorts. Camp orientation for parents and campers is from 3:00pm-3:15pm.
Check-out: The closing ceremony occurs at 11:30am on Thursday at the Aileron Golf Academy and check-out is to follow at 12:00pm. Campers will pack up in the morning and bring all luggage to the Aileron Golf Academy.
Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Program: The Elite program is specifically designed for the tournament-level player who wishes to play college golf and improve their tournament results. The curriculum is geared towards players who are playing competitively. This camp addresses the practice habits of championship golfers, fitness, mental strength, college preparation, time management, course management, academics and team camaraderie.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

Instruction: The Overnight fee includes all golf instruction, green fees, evening activities, housing and all meals for the duration of camp.
Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

Ratio: 1:4 staff-to-camper ratio.
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, golf balls, and tees. Please see below for a full checklist.

  - All campers will receive all instruction and course play at the Aileron Golf Academy and Aileron Golf Club.
- Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor: 5500 Sunseeker Way, Charlotte Harbor, FL 33980
  - All campers will reside at Sunseeker Resorts for the duration of camp.
Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
Housing: Sunseeker Resorts
- Campers Per Room: Campers will be housed in double rooms.
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Spending Money: We recommend that each overnight camper bring $75-$100 per week of spending money to cover incidentals like snacks, souvenirs and other activities. Please bring cash in a marked envelope for your child.

*Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.

TRANSPORTATION

Nike Junior Golf Camps does not provide ground transportation from airports, train stations or bus stations. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for getting campers to and from camp check-in/out. If you have a child flying to camp, please visit the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD / KPGD). This airport has domestic flights from Punta Gorda, Florida and is 7 miles from the center of Charlotte Harbor, FL.
