2026 DATES ARE LIVE AT THIS NEW EAST BAY LOCATION!

US Sports Camps is excited to offer this new lacrosse camp in Danville with former Stanford Head Coach Paul Jepsen and his experienced staff. This lacrosse skills camp will be held at Sycamore Valley Park in Danville—conveniently located in the heart of the East Bay, close to San Francisco. Designed for youth and high school players (ages 7–18), this camp is ideal for athletes looking to sharpen their skills and elevate their overall game.

Campers will receive position-specific instruction and well-rounded training across every phase of play, including:

  • Attack & Midfield: Improve dodging technique, on-ball decision-making, deception, shooting accuracy, and two-man game concepts through fast-paced drills and live reps.
  • Defense: Build strong defensive fundamentals with an emphasis on posture, approach angles, footwork, physical play, communication, and anticipation in game-like situations.
  • Goalies: Receive focused, individualized coaching to refine technique while facing live shots, situational drills, and competitive scrimmages for complete, in-game development.

  • Paul Jepsen Stanford Lacrosse

    Paul Jepsen

    Camp Director

    Paul Jepsen is the former head coach of Stanford Men's Lacrosse team. Paul is a 2004 graduate of Duke University where he was a three-year starter on defense and co-captain during his senior year. He led the Blue Devils to consecutive ACC Championship Titles in 2001 and 2002.

    Jepsen grew up in Connecticut where he graduated from New Canaan High School and played under Howard Benedict. He garnered All-American honors and was selected as the 2000 Connecticut High School Lacrosse Player of the Year.

    Prior to joining the Stanford coaching staff, Jepsen served two years as the Defensive Coordinator at Greenwich H.S. in CT and five years as the Defensive Coordinator at the University of California. Jepsen was also the Head Coach at South Elgin High School boys lacrosse team in Illinois, leading the Storm during their inaugural season in 2012. Prior to his stint at South Elgin, he was an assistant coach in Loyola Academy’s youth lacrosse program.

  • Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. After all team members have successfully registered, contact us to receive a $25 refund per camper.

Monday to Wednesday

  • Check in Day 1: 8:30am-9:00am at Sycamore Valley Park

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Reversible Jersey & Prizes: Campers will receive a Nike Lacrosse Reversible Jersey and prizes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
  • Ratio: 1:6 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience per the directors discretion.
  • Equipment Needed: Please bring your helmet, mouthpiece, cleats, lacrosse stick, gloves, and pads.
  • Facility: Sycamore Valley Park
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours, so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

  • 8:30-9:00am: Check In
  • 9:00am: Full camp stretch and strengthen - Shoulder, wrist and back exercises to increase fundamental passing, shooting, ground ball and defensive checking abilities
  • 9:15-10:30am: Fundamental stick work, ball movement, shooting; instructed to increase lacrosse IQ for game situations
  • 10:30-11:30am: Position specific training: Attack, Midfield, Defense, Face-offs, Goalies
  • 11:30-12:00pm: Lunch
  • 12:00-1:00pm: Scripted and Structured game situations, made to simulate specific aspects of live-game play, created for experience and immediate feedback from coaches
  • 1:00-2:00pm: Game
  • 2:00-3:00pm: Position specific training: Attack, Midfield, Defense, Face-offs, Goalies- created to lead into the next day’s lacrosse IQ concepts that will be covered.
  • 3:00pm: Check out/ Pick Up
