Improve your game and have serious fun
at Nike Basketball Camps

Head to Tyngsborough Elementary School in summer 2024 and receive instruction from ASA Basketball Coach Corey Lowe and staff. This coed camp is formatted to help fine-tune your shooting, footwork, and ball-handling skills to ultimately improve your mental toughness and confidence.

A Step Ahead (ASA) Nike Basketball Camps are designed for the player looking to improve their game and basketball IQ. Emphasis is placed on fundamental development, shooting, offense/defense, team play, and more.

    Currently the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Newton South High School and Director of Player Development for ASA. Corey was raised in Newton, MA playing basketball in various leagues like NAA, The Boys and Girls Club, and Metrowest Travel for the city.

    He learned the game playing at the many outdoor courts, and by both watching and listening to the older players around. Coach Lowe went on to use this knowledge and skills to help Newton North go 77-1 over 3 seasons with back to back State Championships his junior and senior seasons! With over 50 scholarship offers coming out of high school, Coach Lowe decided to stay close to home and attend Boston University. He finished his career top 5 in several major categories including points, assists, minutes played, and 1st all time in 3 pointers made! After, college Coach went on to play professionally in Latvia, Israel, and Brazil over 5 seasons.

    The ASA Hoops coaching staff is made up of some of the most talented and seasoned coaches in New England! All of the ASA coaches are trained and registered to ensure all campers receive high-quality instruction in a fun and safe environment.

    Now in our 28th year, A Step Ahead Inc. (ASA Hoops) has become a year-round operation offering clinics, classes, camps and AAU. In 2025, over 6000 participants have entered our programs. This up-coming year will be our biggest yet, with over 65 camps scheduled and the expansion of our AAU program ASA Hoops will be one of the biggest basketball operations in New England. Participants, boys and girls, range in age from 7-18 and have come from communities throughout New England and across the globe.

June 24-28, 2024

All Campers Check-in: Monday at 8:30am
All Campers Closing Ceremony: Friday at 1pm
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Half Day campers depart prior to lunch. Full Day campers must pack their own lunch.
Half Day Hours: MON-FRI 9AM-12PM
Full Day Hours: MON-THURS 9AM-3PM FRI 9AM-1:30PM

If there are any imperative changes prior to camp start, registered campers will be notified via email and this webpage will be updated!

PACKING LIST

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

● Athletic, on-court clothing
● Athletic shoes
● Water bottle
● Packed lunch and snacks (Half Day Campers Depart prior to lunch)
● Small gym bag/backpack

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.
