Sign up for the Nike Swim Camp at UNLV and enjoy elite-level training while making memories to last a lifetime. Structured for swimmers with competitive swim experience, the camp offers a unique opportunity to train under the direction of Next Athletes’ staff of college coaches and current and former collegiate athletes who serve as counselors. Hosted at UNLV’s campus, the camp is open to campers ages 10-17.

Overnight Camp

Our overnight camp at UNLV offers an immersive, on-campus experience for swimmers locally and across the nation. For the duration of camp, swimmers reside in the UNLV dormitories in adjacent rooms to the camp staff while training during the daytime hours. The tuition includes housing, meals, fun evening activities, as well as college recruiting and sports psychology seminars in the evenings (parents are encouraged to attend the seminars!).

Day Camp (8:00am – 5:00pm)

Nike Swim Camps also offers a summer day camp program for local swimmers. This program runs 8:00am-5:00pm (schedule varies by day) and includes daytime training only. Campers must bring their own lunch or purchase on campus.

Campers will train each day at the Henderson Multigenerational Indoor Pool and features a spa, instructional area, and plenty of aquatic programs. The pool is located at the Henderson Multigenerational Center/Aquatic Complex.

The Nike Swim Camp at UNLV is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The Nike Swim Camp at UNLV is not owned, sponsored, co-sponsored or controlled by the University.

    Mallery was named the University of Redlands Head Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving coach in August 2023. He joins the Bulldogs from the University of Jamestown in North Dakota where he served as the Head Women's Swimming Coach.

    Head Swimming & Diving Coach, Biola University Nate Harding

    Nate Harding took over the reigns of the Biola men's and women's swimming and diving programs in the summer of August 2021. The 2024-25 school year will be his fourth year as the Eagles' head coach. Throughout Harding's career as the Biola swimming and diving head coach, he has coached five CSCAA Scholar All-Americans, 10 CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams, 15 PCSC Athlete's of the Week, and three NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships qualifiers. The teams have also broken a total of 22 school records since he took over the program in 2021. Harding earned his own hardware in 2023 and 2024 with back-to-back PCSC Men's Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year awards.

This summer, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is offering both overnight and day camp (8:00am-5:00pm) options for ages 10-17. Upon arrival at camp, campers are placed in groups with other swimmers having similar abilities and goals. The camp staff keeps in consideration your experience and desire to improve, crafting a supportive environment tailored just for you to make waves in your swimming journey!

2025 OVERVIEW
  • Dates: June 1-5
  • Age Group: 10-17
  • Gender: Coed
  • Camp Type: Overnight & Day (commuter)
  • Check-in: Overnight Campers - check-in Sunday at 11:30am-12:00pm at the SRWC (Third Floor Basketball Court). There will be a camp orientation meeting at and parents are welcome to join their campers for this meeting. A detailed schedule for the week will be provided at that time. Day Campers - check-in takes place between 12:00-12:30pm on Sunday at the SRWC (Third Floor Basketball Court). Early arrival is discouraged and is meant for overnight campers. Note - Following camp check-in, overnight campers will store their luggage in a secure room and return immediately to SRWC (Third Floor Basketball Court) for Orientation. Campers will check-in to their dormitories in the late afternoon following the first training session.
  • Check-out: There will be a closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Thursday at Phillip J. Coleman Theatre (located in the Student Union on the first floor).
  • Day Schedule: SUN 12:30PM-5PM, MON-WED 8AM-5PM, THURS 8AM-12:30PM **Times subject to change
  • Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Program: The Stroke Technique program is designed to provide competitive swimmers with a better understanding of swimming fundamentals. Stroke refinement along with constructive feedback will be the focus of the camp and allows each participant to gain a greater knowledge of proper stroke mechanics and ways to improve themselves individually.

  • Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. After all team members have successfully registered, contact us to receive a $25 refund per camper.
CAMP CHECK-IN

Check-in: Sunday, June 1st

Please note: Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend the orientation on the first day and closing ceremony on the final day!

SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. The camp utilizes Henderson Multi-Generational Pool as its training facility.

SUMMER DAY CAMP (8:00AM – 5:00PM)

The Nike Swim Camp at University of Nevada, Las Vegas also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.

  • Day Camper Drop-Off (Sunday): 12:00-12:30pm at SRWC – see “Summer Camp Info” section for full details about Orientation
  • Day Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Thurs): 7:45-8:00am at Tonopah Residence Complex
  • Day Camper Pick-Up (Sun-Wed): 5:00pm at Tonopah Residence Complex
  • Day Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony Location (Thurs): 12:30pm at Phillip J. Coleman Theatre (located in the Student Union on the first floor)
  • Parking: Parents can use the Tropicana Parking Garage for all drop-offs and pick-ups. Parking is free on Sunday. Pay to park Monday-Thursday. There is an app to pay by phone.

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night at Alumni Ampitheater for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and important sports psychology topics. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

2025 HOUSING

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change.

  • Dorm: Tonopah Residence Complex
  • Number of Campers Per Room: 2 per room
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Bathrooms: Shared
  • Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
  • Air Conditioning: Yes

SUPERVISION
The camp staff reside in adjacent dormitories to the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
  • Instruction: Morning, afternoon, and evening training sessions
  • Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
  • Educational seminars: College recruiting and sports psychology seminars are conducted in the evenings (parents are encouraged to attend the seminars!).
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Swim Camps t-shirt and prizes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
  • Equipment Needed: Please bring your water swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, dryland clothes, sneakers, and towel(s)
  • Facility: Student Recreation and Wellness Center
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

  • Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 11:30am-12:00pm

    • After overnight campers check in, parents and campers will walk to the front of Tonopah Residence Complex where the campers will store their luggage in a secure room and return immediately to SRWC (Third Floor Basketball Court) for Orientation. Campers will check in to their rooms following the first training session on Sunday.
    • Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Check out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at Phillip J. Coleman Theatre (located in the Student Union on the first floor)
  • Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-4: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 5: Breakfast
  • Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $50 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
  • Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at Phillip J. Coleman Theatre (located in the Student Union on the first floor). Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
DAY CAMPERS

Checklist of Things to Bring: We recommend that all Day Campers bring a daily pack with the following items: swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, towel, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, sandals, water bottle, dry land gear (running shoes, t-shirt, athletic shorts, sweatshirt), and any other appropriate clothing for that day’s activities which will be described to you on the first day of camp.

Camp Schedule & Meals:

  • Sunday: 12:30pm-5:00pm. Meals are not provided.
  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm. Meals are not provided. Day campers must pack a lunch.
  • Thursday: 8:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony. Meals are not provided.
    • The closing ceremony will take place at Phillip J. Coleman Theatre (located in the Student Union on the first floor). Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
  • Meals: Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.
TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
