This summer, the Gastonia Ghost Peppers, a proud member of the Atlantic League, are excited to host the Nike Baseball Camp at CaroMont Health Park in Gastonia, NC. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this camp offers a unique opportunity to learn from professional athletes in a top-tier facility.
The Ghost Peppers are dedicated to helping players of all levels hone their hitting, fielding, base-running, and overall game knowledge. Campers will get hands-on coaching from experienced pros and leave with invaluable skills to elevate their game. Beyond just baseball, this camp is about building confidence, teamwork, and making lasting friendships.
Plus, campers will get the chance to attend a Ghost Peppers game against the Lexington Legends on July 24th – a perfect way to round out an unforgettable experience!

Director - Manager of the Ghost Peppers Mauro "Goose" Gozzo
Mauro “Goose” Gozzo is entering his fifth year as the manager for Gastonia, with him set to manage the newly named “Ghost Peppers” in 2025. With Gozzo at the helm, Gastonia has gone 304-200 in four years, which totals a .603 winning percentage. Gozzo is the only active manager in the Atlantic League to have recorded multiple 80+ win seasons and is the only manager in ALPB history to win Manager of the Year in back-to-back seasons (‘22, ‘23).

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2025 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: July 21-23, 2025; Ghost Peppers Game on July 24th!
- Age Group: 7-13
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday, 9:00am-2:00pm; Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:00am-12:00pm; Thursday - Ghost Peppers vs Lexington Legends Game! (camper ticket provided)
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers bring their own lunch

- Daily Baseball Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. Please note that US Sports Camps does NOT provide equipment and is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

CaroMont Health Park -
CaroMont Health Park is a multi-purpose stadium in Gastonia, North Carolina which opened in 2021. It is part of a 16-acre downtown redevelopment plan known as the Franklin Urban Sports and Entertainment (FUSE) District. The new ballpark was designed to accommodate a variety of other events, including concerts, soccer, lacrosse, and football with an artificial turf surface and a capacity of 5,000.
