Peak Performance Swim Camp is excited to offer a winter camp in Saint Lucy, Barbados. Our Barbados camp curriculum is similar to our PEAK 1 training level. The daily skill progressions and challenging swim sets are adjusted to reflect skill and performance levels.
Lane assignments for swimmers are based on ability level rather than age. Each day begins with a powerful mental presentation emphasizing the important role that the mind plays in peak swimming performance. The underlying “positive mental message” is repeated throughout the day to heighten its impact and create lasting change. Each day of camp ends on a high note with swimmers feeling mentally, technically, and physically empowered. In addition to our 8 challenging in-water training sessions, the camp also includes 4 intense dry-land training sessions, 2-4 swimming related yoga sessions, and 4 inspiring mental conditioning sessions.

Nick Baker cofounded the original Peak Performance Swim Camp in 1996. In 2005 he branched out on his own and founded the present-day version. Nick Baker has been involved in competitive swimming since 1961. He swam competitively for 11 years (and qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 200M Breaststroke), coached club swimming for 21 years, and has exclusively run swim camps for the past 18 years. He started his coaching career in Canada in 1972, and moved to the United States in 1993 to run a competitive swim camp at the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The camp’s one-of-a-kind holistic approach and positive coaching style was created by Coach Nick Baker, founder and head coach of Peak Performance Swim Camp. Following is a brief list of his swimming and coaching highlights:

- Coached at the World Junior Olympics in Madrid, Spain in 1991

All PEAK coaches fully endorse our mission statement, our holistic training approach, and positive coaching style. Staff availability varies and is subject to change per location.

Open to age group and senior-level swimmers, ages 9-18, who currently compete at a local, regional, state, or national level. To maximize the benefits of the camp, swimmers are assigned to lanes based on their current skill and performance level versus their age.

The vast majority of competitive swimmers are in serious need of concentrated start and stroke work. It should be an ongoing process that continues throughout their swimming careers. Skills are never permanent and require constant attention and refinement. At Peak Performance Swim Camp, we offer a variety of impactful techniques and skill progressions that dramatically improve start and stroke technique. The techniques taught are extremely adaptable meaning swimmers can continue to use them upon returning to home pools.

Camp concludes at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 5th. Our closing ceremony will be held at 4:00 PM before sign-out and dismissal. Parents are invited to attend.

Where can I find the Peak Health & Release Form?
In order for a swimmer to participate in the camp, the mandatory Health & Release Form must be completed, signed, and turned in BEFORE the camp commences. The Health & Release Form can be found at - swimcamp.com/forms/
How are swimmers grouped at camp?
Lane assignments will be based on your best 100 Free time. We will ask you to email us your best 100 Free time when we send out the registration packet before camp. If you do not submit the correct time, then there is a strong chance that you will be placed in the wrong lane, and will not fully benefit from the clinic training. Thank you for your assistance!
What do I need to bring with me to camp?
Below is a recommended list of equipment and apparel. Peak Performance Swim Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Do NOT bring valuable items to camp with you – such as laptop computers or tablets.
