Join Peak Performance Swim Camp at our spring training camp in warm, sunny Orlando! The elite camp offers two training levels for competitive swimmers ages 9-18 years. Learn to swim faster and more efficiently!
Peak 1 offers a 75/25 blend of physical and technical conditioning while our Peak 2 offers a 50/50 blend of physical and technical conditioning. In addition, all of our camps offer an in-depth mental conditioning curriculum designed to enhance a swimmer's self-esteem, develop focus skills and improve the ability to perform in stressful situations.

Nick Baker cofounded the original Peak Performance Swim Camp in 1996. In 2005 he branched out on his own and founded the present-day version. Nick Baker has been involved in competitive swimming since 1961. He swam competitively for 11 years (and qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 200M Breaststroke), coached club swimming for 21 years, and has exclusively run swim camps for the past 18 years. He started his coaching career in Canada in 1972, and moved to the United States in 1993 to run a competitive swim camp at the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
The camp’s one-of-a-kind holistic approach and positive coaching style was created by Coach Nick Baker, founder and head coach of Peak Performance Swim Camp. Following is a brief list of his swimming and coaching highlights:

TRAINING CAMP: The term “training camp” has a long-standing tradition in competitive swimming, where swimmers undergo a focused week of intense physical activity to get a jump start on future competitions or the start of a new season. At PEAK, we proudly put our own spin on it and go above and beyond. We start by creating an “eagle mindset” where swimmers hunger to do better and perform better. Next we add four hours a day of intensive training, purposeful teaching, a daily Winning Spirit pep talk, dynamic dry-land training, and soothing yoga. The combined PEAK experience toughens swimmers mentally, boosts fitness and confidence, and improves essential swimming skills. It would be near impossible for us to offer a camp format such as this with a large number of swimmers, so we restrict registration to ensure a 7-to-1 swimmer-to-coach ratio (the lowest in the industry). Well-suited for advanced age group and senior-level swimmers, ages 11-18, who train 5,000 yards/meters (or greater) per practice.
PEAK 1 is our most challenging swim camp. The camp builds throughout the week in both intensity and expectation. State-of-the-art skill progressions are combined with challenging swim sets. Swimmers are challenged to maintain their newly acquired skills throughout each set. Each day begins with a powerful mental presentation emphasizing the important role that the mind plays in peak swimming performance. The underlying “positive mental message” is repeated throughout the day to heighten its impact and create lasting change. Each day of camp ends on a high note with swimmers feeling mentally, technically, and physically empowered.
In addition to our 8 challenging in-water training sessions, PEAK 1 also includes 4 intense dry-land training sessions, 2-4 swimming related yoga sessions, and 4 inspiring mental conditioning sessions.
Note: Peak 1 is not well suited for swimmers with swimming-related injuries.
Ideally suited for developmental, intermediate, and advanced age group swimmers, ages 9-16, who train between 3,000 to 5,000 yards/meters per practice.
PEAK 2 is the lead-up camp to PEAK 1. The daily structure of PEAK 2 is similar to PEAK 1, but the skill progressions and challenging swim sets are adjusted to reflect skill and performance levels. Lane assignments for swimmers are based on ability level rather than age. Like PEAK 1, each day begins with a powerful mental presentation emphasizing the important role that the mind plays in peak swimming performance. The underlying “positive mental message” is repeated throughout the day to heighten its impact and create lasting change. Each day of camp ends on a high note with swimmers feeling mentally, technically, and physically empowered.
In addition to our 8 challenging in-water training sessions, PEAK 2 also includes 4 intense dry-land training sessions, 2-4 swimming related yoga sessions, and 4 inspiring mental conditioning sessions.
Camp Check-In and Orientation for both swimmers and parents will take place in Classrooms A-D, located at the National Training Center. Please park and enter the facility via the front main entrance. Swimmers will start camp immediately following, and should arrive to camp wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.

After Camp Orientation, parents may drop-off their child’s luggage at the camp hotel, the Clermont Hampton Inn & Suites.
Camp concludes with our special Gold Medal Award Ceremony conducted near the pool deck. Parents are invited to attend and should plan to pick-up their children promptly afterwards. After the ceremony, overnight campers may then proceed to the hotel to pick-up their luggage.

Getting To Camp
EARLY ARRIVAL OPTION: We highly recommend that Overnight Campers arrive the day prior to camp. Our early arrival package includes accommodations, dinner, breakfast and supervision. Swimmers may arrive from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to camp commencement. Price: $150.00
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: A supervised shuttle service is available, to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO). This exclusive service includes meet & greet at baggage claim, and staff escort from the airport to the hotel via a private chartered shuttle. The service is offered from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to the start of camp (April 15) and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the final day of camp (April 19). Departure flights from Orlando should be scheduled between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Price: $75.00 One-Way, $150.00 Round-trip.

Where will my overnight camper stay?
Campers will stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Clermont, 2200 East Highway 50, Clermont, FL 34711.
Where can I find the Peak Health & Release Form?
In order for a swimmer to participate in the camp, the mandatory Health & Release Form must be completed, signed, and turned in BEFORE the camp commences. The Health & Release Form can be found at - swimcamp.com/forms/.
How are swimmers grouped at camp?
Lane assignments will be based on your best 100 Free time. We will ask you to email us your best 100 Free time when we send out the registration packet before camp. If you do not submit the correct time, then there is a strong chance that you will be placed in the wrong lane, and will not fully benefit from the clinic training. Thank you for your assistance!

A Huge Thank You!
April 12, 2018: We are just getting up after our long drive home from the Orlando Spring Camp yesterday. And although there is much to do…I have to stop and give Coach Baker, Coach Gregg, and all the coaches and assistants a huge Thank You! There is nothing like picking your kids up from camp and hearing stories for 6+ hours…basically until they fall asleep. Everything the kids talked about was so positive; camp had way more of an impact than we expected! Our daughter did most of the talking. While she talked about all her friends she made and the fun things they did, she also told us so much about what she learned and that she is ready to get in the water and put it into place. She has a new level of excitement about swimming. I was shocked when I arrived at the National Training Center yesterday to pick up my children. My son looked like he had grown a few inches. While I don’t think he grew physically in a few days, I think he is now standing/walking more confidently and looks taller. His technique is not perfect, but in sending him to camp I was really hoping for him to grow mentally, in confidence. In the little conversation he and I have had since picking him up, he seems so much better/stronger mentally and is really focused on things Coach Baker and Coach Gregg talked to him about and tools (videos) they suggested he watch. We are really looking forward to seeing the kids swim with their PEAK skills and attitude! I can’t thank Coach Baker and the coaches/folks at PEAK enough. Such a positive and profound impact on our kids! We are already looking at the PEAK schedule and trying to figure out the best time to get back to another PEAK camp. Thank you, and see you soon!

Inspired my son to be better!
April 1, 2016: I just wanted to share our positive story! My son attended your Spring Camp in Orlando for the second time. For him, it was an another amazing experience like the first time. For me, as a mom, who attends every single practice every day, it has been rewarding because I have seen the progress in technique and attitude in practice as well as in meets. This past weekend we had our first meet since the camp, and it is with great pride and joy to tell you that all of my son’s times went down!!! And he is getting really close to qualifying for National LC Championships in Puerto Rico. His times not only went down, but they decreased significantly. In the 100m Free, his entry time was 1:27.00 and he finished first in his heat with 1:21.51!!! Every night when my son goes to bed, he reads Coach Baker’s book, 101 Winning Ways. April 1, 2016: You asked me to send you my results from my last meet. Well, you were right, I swam awesome. I won 7 out of 7 events and high point! It felt so amazing. My mind was free of all the stuff I usually think about. I tried the mental ideas you taught me, it felt so easy to swim fast! My strokes and turns felt really smooth and fast. April 10, 2015: Just wanted to say thanks again for an outstanding two days of instruction. As you may recall, we left straight from Orlando for a weeks’ vacation. Upon returning we went to a three-day meet in Virginia. Lauren dropped 46 seconds and achieved three NAG times.
