INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY CLINIC (FEBRUARY 16-17, 2018)
What is the ultimate event in swimming? If you picked the individual medley, you're correct! The reason why is that swimmers must be proficient in all four strokes to excel. The turns are also unique to this special event especially the turn from back-to-breast. Did you know that there are four back-to-breast turns? And we teach all four of them at the clinic. Choosing to train and compete in the individual medley has many long-term benefits, the main one being that it develops all four strokes giving swimmers more options and opportunities. It also increases the chance of earning a college swimming scholarship because individual-medley swimmers are very much in demand. Having one weak stroke can be extremely detrimental, so that's why we dedicate an entire practice to each of the four strokes. Saturday morning starts off with the butterfly, the butterfly turn, and the butterfly-to-backstroke turn. The same process is repeated with the other three strokes. Created by Olympic Coach Nick Baker, the clinic’s curriculum is second to none. Coach Baker has authored five books on swimming and produced four swimming videos. A 4-Stroke Handbook, to be used as a reference, is also included. The clinic offers many unique features and is highly recommended for swimmers with Olympic dreams.
Check-in will take place from 8:15 AM to 8:45 AM on February 16. Check-In and Orientation for both swimmers and parents will take place in the upstairs mezzanine, located at the Saw Mill Club East. Swimmers will start camp immediately following Check-In, and should arrive wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.
The camp concludes at 4:00 PM on February 17. Our closing ceremony will be held at 4:00 PM before sign-out and dismissal. Parents are invited to attend.

MENTAL EDGE CLINIC (FEBRUARY 18-19, 2018)
Believe it or not, the results achieved in competition have the greatest impact on long-term swimming success. At PEAK, providing swimmers with the tools they need to excel is our top priority. Our Mental Edge Clinic covers the three most important facets of racing, including the pre-meet preparation, the pre-race routine, and real-race rehearsal. Visualizing techniques, positive affirmations, and strategies to overcome race-limiting beliefs round off the pre-meet portion. The pre-race portion teaches swimmers how to achieve their ideal mental state before stepping on the block. Finally, real-race rehearsals give swimmers a prime opportunity to apply their new-found skills. Created by Olympic Coach Nick Baker, the clinic’s curriculum is second to none. Coach Baker has authored five books on swimming and produced four swimming videos. A Mental Edge Workbook, to be used as a reference, is also included. This one-of-a-kind clinic is ideally suited for swimmers looking for that extra something.
Check-in will take place from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM on February 18. Check-In and Orientation for both swimmers and parents will take place in the upstairs mezzanine, located at the Saw Mill Club East. Swimmers will start camp immediately following Check-In, and should arrive wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.
Clinics conclude at 3:00 PM on February 19. Our closing ceremony will be held at 3:00 PM before sign-out and dismissal. Parents are invited to attend.

Best coach ever!
February 25, 2018: Dear Coach Nick, I am so happy!!! I qualified for Zones this weekend and dropped time in all my events. My biggest drops were 14.69 seconds in my 100 butterfly, 5.92 seconds in my 100 breaststroke, 7.55 seconds in my 100 backstroke, and 1.4 seconds in my 50 breaststroke. You would have been very proud of me for holding my technique. The talks we had were so important to me. You are always on my mind giving me the confidence to go on no matter how tired I am. You are the best coach ever. I can’t wait to see you soon at the Boston Summer Camp.
— Brian R. Camper0
See you again soon!
February 27, 2017: Coach Nick and Staff, We just want to tell you what a great experience our son had at the Westchester Starts & Strokes Clinic this past February. The clinic happened to be a couple of weeks before CT Regionals and he had best times in EVERY event. He looked great, his starts were much quicker, and despite having just moved up an age group, he placed in every event he raced! We'll see you all again soon!

Such a positive force!
February 22, 2017: Dear Coach Nick, we can’t thank you enough for being such a positive force in our daughter’s life. You have motivated her, trained her, and made it possible for her to achieve as she has. The most important is that she knows that you only expect the best from her. Thank you for all that you do.
— Barbara M. Parent0
February 22, 2017: Coach Nick, we want to thank you again so much for all you’ve brought to our daughter during the 3 PEAK camps she’s attended in 2014. She has progressed strongly and is truly passionate about swimming – thanks to a very large extent to what she’s learned with you. It was definitely worth the trip from Belgium! We are booked to come back again to the Orlando Winter Camp and look forward to seeing you soon.
— Chris D. Parent
February 21, 2017: We are most impressed by the quality of the swim camp. Coach Nick and his team are not only excellent coaches, they are also caring and encouraging. Many swimmers hit a plateau in their training. It’s difficult to move forward without knowing the problem and how to correct it. Coach Nick and his staff spotted the areas our daughter needs to improve and helped her to correct them. We would like to thank Coach Nick and team for the excellent experience our daughter had.
— Dave D. Parent
March 3, 2016: Just attended the Westchester clinic at the Saw Mill Club. Coach Baker is amazing! Greatest coach I’ve ever met. Incredibly skilled at his craft and very humble. I’m currently reading his book. I wish there were more coaches like him.
— Jessica M. Camper
February 26, 2016: My daughter attended the camp in Westchester over the long weekend and LOVED it. She said the work was hard but good and the instruction great, because “they show us what to do, not just tell us.” We will definitely be coming back!
— Tim G. Parent
camp was great!
February 24, 2015: Thank you for the care, knowledge, and support you have given to my daughter. Both of us believe that her achievements over the years are mainly due to your teaching. As always your camp was great and you were an inspiration to her. Thank you!
