Nike Baseball Camps is thrilled to announce camp at the Oberlin College in Ohio. Join us at Dill Field and improve all aspects of your game. Camp is scheduled to run for four days giving baseball players of all abilities the opportunity to continue playing baseball this summer! The camp will cover all aspects of baseball, making it a great environment to learn skills and make new friends.

Head Coach for Oberlin College, Johnathan Ray, will serve as camp director.

Camp Director Johnathan Ray

Jonhathan Ray joined the Yeomen baseball program to be the lead assistant coach in January of 2021 and was promoted to head coach in July of 2022. Ray, who spent the previous seven seasons as an assistant coach at Capital University, is no stranger to the North Coast Athletic Conference as a former standout player at The College of Wooster.

During his time with the Crusaders, Ray mentored 10 All-OAC selections and two CoSIDA Academic All-District selections. In his first season in Bexley, Ray helped Nate Campbell earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors following a season in which he batted .292 with four extra-base hits, seven RBIs and stole 10-of-15 bases.

In addition to his work with the baseball program, Ray has taught multiple courses at Capital and has served as a substitute teacher in the Columbus area. Furthermore, he has been the head coach for the Upper Arlington Junior Baseball Association since 2018.

A four-year letterman at Wooster, Ray was the Scots’ team captain in 2013. A 2012 All-NCAC First-Team selection, Ray won three NCAC titles at Wooster before graduating with a bachelor’s of arts degree in History.

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION

Dates: CAMP WILL NOT RUN THIS SUMMER. CHECK BACK IN 2024.
Age Group: 8-14
Camp Type: Day Camp
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm
Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

Daily Baseball Instruction
Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Dill Field

Within the last five years, Dill Field has gone under a complete transformation and has become one of the finest facilities in NCAA Division III Baseball.

Featuring a full turf infield, Dill field newest additions include stadium style seating and press box.

In addition to serving as the home field for the Yeomen baseball program, the field is in constant use throughout the summer months.
